getty If one is to be a trendsetter, then one must care enough about the ways things move in order to steer them in a different direction. We are influenced by the "influencers" — those who have clout, those whose opinion or affirmation on just about anything changes the fate of the world. Be it fashion or politics, health, or technology, behind the concept of "trend" are people who are making decisions and, thus, influencing the people.
That's what the
trendsetting zodiac signs are all about. Because even outside of astrology, trendsetting isn't about charisma; you don't have to look the part to set the trend. All you have to do is have a keen sense of good timing and a discerning eye for human nature.
The perfect storm can take place with or without charm or good looks; all you have to know is what the public wants and how to deliver it to them swiftly. You supply the demand, but first, you must create the demand.
This kind of attention to detail isn't for everyone, and it does take stamina to be a trendsetter. You have to establish trust, and that, in itself, is hard for some to do. So, of the signs of the zodiac, we have six particularly talented trendsetting types.
1. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
They want to influence you because they can't help themselves, and that drive alone gets them places. Aries can wiggle their way into any situation and stand at the podium with the speaker, even if they're not due to speak. And what I mean by this is, sheer drive alone gets Aries where they want to do, and this is the essential motion behind the trendsetter.
They find a "thing" that they believe is good or interesting and they pump it up so hard that the whole world knows about it by the end of the day. Trendsetting specialists, all the way.
2. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
In the same way that Aries are so fiery about getting what they way, Pisces are similar, but their drive is cool and streamlined. They see a trend and they stand back and follow it. Then, when the time is right, they use their power of timing to change things from the norm.
Anyone who lives with a Pisces knows that daily change is par for the course, but that the change will almost always be good and/or refreshing to the household.
3. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Whereas we often times think of this sign as the homebody, never underestimate the one who sits at home, for they are scheming and dreaming and will soon provide some great change for us if we stay keen to their trendsetting ways.
Cancer is a trendsetter when it comes to political territory and media; they like to keep it real and they like to make sure everyone understands what's going on. They are the helpers of the planet, and often times it is they who show us higher learnings. Spiritual trendsetters, indeed.
4. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
It's hard to not set trends when you have a life of built in followers, but Leo isn't just charismatic and able. Oh no, Leo is smart and some of those ideas can be life changing if we let ourselves be swayed.
Vast thinking, territorial, environmental ideas — Leo sees the earth as worth protecting, and you will find many Leos leading up the thinking on climate change and the human condition.
5. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Naturally good at balancing out people, they are often times the leader of the tribe, though being in a position of leadership is not always the desired job for Libra.
Still in all, they have a great sense of duty, as well as what's right and wrong, and they are fearless when it comes to influencing others as to what might be a better way for all concerned. Libra makes for a powerful influencer and a dedicated trendsetter.
6. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
You'll find that the majority of fashion designers and serious trendsetters of the world are Scorpio. This is due to a very driven facet to their personality; they must accomplish, and they must be praised for it. They are also smart enough to know that to merit that praise, they must deliver something great — something influential, life changing, effective. This is their specialty.
Not one to adore the spotlight, they will certainly take it nonetheless if they can find themselves in the position of authority and control. They set the trend, and they expect kudos in return.
