There are a million and one reasons why he might still be keeping in touch with his ex, including astrological. Some of these reasons might be harmless, while others might require you to sit down and work some things out.

He has other exes that he still talks to because they’re friends, but this person was different. He didn’t hide the fact that she was texting him, but it was the way he handled it that bothered me.
Rather than block her number or tell her that he wasn’t interested in keeping in touch with her – and I know he wasn’t because he complained so many times that she wouldn’t leave him alone – all he did was tell me to get involved and tell her to back off (in a playful, joking way).
When I told him to just stop texting her if she was really bothering him (because I was not going to get involved), he said no, that it was too hard and he was too lazy to try. So, he kept texting her and kept whining about it until he got bored with the attention.
Yeah… not a good person and not the right way to handle an ex at all. If your boyfriend is talking to his ex, there are a few things you can do, whether you know that they’re just friends or not. First, you should address the situation, openly and honestly.
Don’t hide the fact that you’re uncomfortable – this is your relationship, after all, you’re allowed to want to be invested in all parts of it. Next, figure out why he’s talking to his ex from him. Don’t sneak around trying to draw your own conclusions because that will only make things worse.
Once you figure out what the deal is, express your feelings about the whole thing in a calm and honest way. If he knows you’re just concerned about your relationship and curious about his ex, he’s more likely to open up to you.
If he feels like you’re trying to back him into a corner, he’s not going to want to share anything with you. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to get to the bottom of this, but remember that you and your boyfriend are on the same team; it’s not you versus him, it’s you both versus the problem.
