Moody Zodiac Signs That Go From Talkative To Silent For No Reason

Some people are chatty and talk all the time, and then suddenly for no apparent reason, they just stop talking.

You might hate feeling like you are getting the cold shoulder or silent treatment. Being left on read is no fun at all either.

Everyone has their own unique way of resolving conflict, but some people go silent when they aren't even angry.

Some, like Aries for example, rush into an argument to fight fast and unfair but once it's over, it's long forgotten. Gemini can be forever chatty and rarely silent. Those are easy to understand.

But other zodiac signs will stop talking out of the blue and it feels like you're being given the silent treatment but that's not true.

Some of us are chatterboxes and some of us are talkative in spurts. In the same way some of us are more shy and others of us are more outgoing.

Neither of those things are secrets. In random moments, we might change from one extreme to the other. I might be known for being a talkative girl but that doesn’t mean it’s true 100% of the time.

Over the years I’ve gone through phases where I was either extreme.

I’m pretty sure I’m both now depending on the day of the week and what I’m doing. Some people make comments about me that imply getting me to say words is like pulling teeth.

Others comment that I never shut up and that I should at times. They’ll say I don’t know how to listen.

I’m not sure enough people have seen me be both kinds of people. In all honesty, I say I’m a talkative girl but there are times when I’m not sure because I remember how much alone time I prefer in my week.

I like to say I’m talkative and that I keep to myself most times.

It’s not like either of those things cancels the other out, right? At least, I don’t think so. I can be talkative with a friend, a teacher, or even a stranger I like.

I can also sit quietly in a library (most times) and get to work. I can eat meals quietly by myself. I can also be loud and annoying when hungry. I can be loud and annoying when angry. I can also choose to be silent when I feel those things. It changes and that’s okay.

1. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)

My mother and I are opposite signs, I’m a Scorpio and she’s a Taurus. Frequently, as fixed people with similar traits, our arguments can escalate quickly.

Then it turns into a whole bunch of serious and uncomfortable nothing. Usually, she prefers to avoid conflict and become silent which leads to me making it worse. I’ll have more on that below.

2. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)

I’m a Scorpio and a chatterbox. But, there comes a point every once in a while where I just choose to shut up and shut down. Sometimes, it’s in the middle of an escalated argument with my mother.

Other times, it’s because I want to prove a point of some sort. Often, it’s just because I know I should cut someone toxic off...or I’m really tired and or hungry.

3. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)

I used to date this guy who was so weird about attention. Sometimes, he wanted more of mine and sometimes he would act as if I was clingy. There were times when he would withhold it as some form of punishment.

Again, it would just lead to me outdoing him in that respect because two can play at almost every game. When he shut down, he wouldn’t touch you, speak to you, or look in your direction.

4. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)

Libras tend to be kind and wholesome. They wouldn’t use the silent treatment manipulatively like some of the above signs. As a matter of fact, I used to have a Libra best friend who was pretty talkative if she opened up.

The key phrase here is “opened up”. Her Libra silence was out of shyness, discomfort, or mild discontent.

5. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)

Capricorns are definitely not the game-playing sort. Their silence isn’t typically malicious at all. Theirs is more because of how busy they always are in starting new adventures. They’ll speak to you when they see you.

Otherwise, they’ll engage in small talk before letting you know they have to go work on their next project.

6. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)

Aquarians are always thinking of their next idea. That or they’re solving an issue, thinking about it from all angles, obtuse, acute, until they get to the right one. So, you’ll definitely be able to tell their kind of silence.

You’ll be rambling on about something and you’ll see their eyes quietly glaze over as they travel to another galaxy. They might also go silent if there’s some sort of emotional conflict because they’re never comfortable with that.

7. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)

Pisces goes silent when there’s emotional turmoil. They get swept up in what they feel and it’s hard for them to objectively get out of their issues. Usually, their silence comes after some dramatic blow-up.

That never lasts because they go with the changing tides. They’re always back to talking soon enough.

8. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)

I have yet to meet a quiet Cancer. They’re always emotionally connecting with someone else. They’re always trying to have a good time with good people.

I don’t really have very many memories of silence with a Cancerian individual. Perhaps, they’re quiet when listening to a story, depressed, or shocked.

9. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)

I’m writing this article and my brother has been talking from the time I got home until I reached his sign. Now, he’s being super quiet. Arians are super dynamic and it’s not surprising that they try to do away with that energy by talking.

If an Arian isn’t talking, they’re mad, tired of you, or listening to their best friend speak while playing action video games.

10. LEO (July 23 - August 22)

Leos are the life of the party. They do it big. These are not people who choose to stay silent. If they were to walk into a room full of people, someone would approach them anyway. As for conflict, they prefer drama over holding everything in.

11. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)

Sagittarian individuals are like Arian individuals. They’re dynamic and lead active lifestyles but Sagittarius is less likely to outdo others. If you hear only crickets when trying to get ahold of them, they’re off building themselves, others, or houses.

Whatever their thing may be. But, it’s pretty much never malicious unless they realize they don’t need you. These are pretty social people who love their friends and family so they aren’t prone to staying silent.
