Misery sure does love company.

Some people are miserable. Whether we blame upbringing, bad wiring in their brain, their bad horoscopes, or even astrology itself, some people just seem to have been put on this Earth to make everyone else suffer.
While not everyone is a miserable bastard 24/7, there are certain miserable zodiac signs that are more negative than most, and in being that miserable, actually end up taking the rest of us down with them.
Here are the five that are the worst of the worst when it comes to inflicting misery on others.
1. CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 19)
Ugh. Capricorn is one heck of a Debbie Downer. Whereas most people in the room see a glass as half-full, Capricorn doesn’t just see it as half-empty, and then tells people who don’t see it the same way they do that they’re dumb and foolish. Like, seriously, what gives?
Even on good days, Capricorn is still the coldest and most toxic of the zodiac signs, and like all negative energy, it’s contagious, making everyone else just as miserable as Capricorn. But misery loves company, right?
2. ARIES (March 21 – April 19)
While Capricorn makes everyone else miserable because they’re miserable themselves, Aries does it because they’re just a pain in the ass.
From consistently thinking they’re right (even when they’re wrong), to always looking for some debate (even when a debate isn’t necessary), to just being impatient and combative at every single damn turn, it’s hard not to be miserable around Aries. I’m miserable just thinking about being around Aries.
3. LEO (July 23 – August 22)
Although Leo has some admirable qualities like being brave and generous, their bad qualities are so bad that when they walk into a room, everyone cringes. Not only is Leo arrogant, a personality trait that often accompanies bravery, but they have no filter when they speak, meaning they offend people left and right and, in being so self-righteous, they don’t even care.
Basically, if you’re at a party and Leo shows up, go home. That is, if you didn’t go home when Capricorn and Aries arrived.
4. VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)
Virgo is tricky when it comes to making everyone else miserable, because at first glance and even at first interaction, there’s a sweetness there. They are, after all, the innocent virgin of the Zodiac.
But once you get to know them — ugh! Virgo is the most critical person you will ever meet. No one can ever do right by Virgo and because of this, everyone must suffer and be miserable because of them.
5. GEMINI (May 21 – June 20)
Because Gemini has those two personalities, you have a 50/50 chance of being made totally miserable. If you get the fun-loving, adventurous side of Gemini, then yeah! That’s great! If you get the other side, the deceptive liar who might sell your dog for a pair of designer shoes, then look out.
While they won’t actively make everyone else miserable in the moment, it’s a misery that’s sure to creep up on you and make you realize you’re feeling like total crap because of a Gemini in your life.
