I’m one of those people that take forever to get over someone. I’m not talking about days or months — I’m talking about years. Is there a little obsession involved? Yes, but not always.
The funny thing is that when I’ve had a hard time getting over an ex, I was usually the one who broke up with them in the first place. I tend to break up with someone too early. Maybe it’s a preemptive strike... you know, end things with them before they have the chance to end things with me.
There have been times where I was too fast to break up and emotionally wasn’t ready. That’s why I take so long to heal and move on. Other times, my ex looked like he was doing so fantastically, it made me feel as if I was missing out and that our life together could have been wonderful if I hadn’t been so hasty in breaking up.
Everyone’s heart is different, as is the way they choose to deal with an ex. Some people can be friends with their ex, others friendly acquaintances, and there are those who feel a clean break and no contact is the best plan of action. There are many choices when it comes to getting over an ex and you may do it differently every time a breakup occurs.
But what is about some people that make it so hard to get over them? Were they the closest you ever got to a soulmate or did they make you laugh even when you were depressed? Some people just have that secret, hard-to-identify characteristic that just implants them in our hearts forever. You can’t even put your finger on it, you just know that some part of you will always love them.

Aries (March 21 - April 19)

No one will be a better advocate for you than your Aries ex. They'd have gone to the ends of the earth for you or do whatever it took to fight for you. You also had no doubt about their love for you as they showed you the depth of their feelings with everything they had.
