getty A great host can make a social event. If you suck as a host, your guests won’t feel comfortable and the whole party will suffer as a result. There's nothing worse than being at a party and not feeling welcome, that you shouldn’t be there, or that the host has no concern over whether you’re having a good time.
Being able to host well is a talent that not everybody has. You need to be warm, welcoming, thoughtful, cognizant about the room, creative, personable, and be a great conversationalist. Most of the time, you’re going to be carrying the conversation and creating the atmosphere of the party.
But in astrology, the zodiac signs who make good hosts seem to have an instinct for throwing the best party. If you’re someone who is happier being by yourself and isn’t interested in meeting new people, hosting probably isn't your thing.
The host of a party is a guide in a way because they direct the way a party is going. They know when they need to mix things up or just let them be.
1. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Whether it's a party or having a house guest, Leos love to entertain. They always make sure their guests have everything they need and that the guest feels comfortable enough to request something.
If their guest has allergies or special diets, Leo will accommodate them. If you're a vegan and you go to Thanksgiving at Leo's house, you know there will be meat- and dairy-free options. They think of everything and are able to anticipate what their guest might need.
2. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis are great hosts because they do a lot of prep work before their guests arrive so they're able to connect and enjoy the party too. They are great at making people feel included and part of the conversation.
They are great conversationalists and active listeners, which means they're not just waiting for their turn to speak. Geminis don't try to be someone they're not and they make their guests feel like they can be their true selves.
3. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
It's extremely important to Libra that their guests have the best time, so they do what they can to make it happen. They will make a playlist of the perfect music, make sure their house looks amazing but still comfortable, and that there is more than enough food and drinks.
Once Libra has made the atmosphere perfect, they'll mingle and make sure their guests are enjoying themselves. If it seems like someone isn't having a good time, they will take the time to find out what their guest needs.
4. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Most of the time, Pisces don't go for ostentatious events, preferring instead intimate dinner parties, small barbecues, and informal gatherings. Their favorite location for a party or a festive occasion is out in nature, so a casual picnic on the beach, a wedding in a meadow, or a birthday party in a park are perfect.
Pisces want both themselves and their guests to feel happy, relaxed and having fun. They are very intuitive and are able to sense when a party is getting boring, and they'll do something to liven it up.
5. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Since Taurus know how to make a party, it's no surprise they're amazing at hosting a party. Of course, everything will be on point from the flowers to the food, and they will spare no expense to make their party the social event of the season.
They may have expensive taste but they're also down-to-earth, so no one feels out of place or not fancy enough to attend. Taurus are known for being polite, pleasant, and generous. It wouldn't be out of character for them to donate the leftover food and non-alcoholic beverages to a shelter.
6. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
One of Aquarius' many talents is their ability to make a lot of friends, so it's natural for them to want to entertain those friends. They're creative, so their parties are unique, and they are often are the subject used for conversation starters.
Aquarians don't like to delegate, so they will take on the cooking, decorating, and cleaning themselves. Because they aren't judgmental, people feel comfortable enough to express their ideas and be themselves.
