You almost made it, didn’t you?

Whether it was your acceptance into your dream University, the dream job you’ve always wanted, the scholarship that you’ve always pursued, or that one person you’ve always considered as your soulmate.

But it didn’t happen to you as you’ve always wanted, right? All of it didn’t happen as if you didn’t try to fight hard enough.

You are always wondering about how to make things fall into place, meanwhile your entire dream list failed one by one.

It seems like you almost made it, it was just one step away until you got what you’ve always wanted; but then, life changed its direction towards the other way, and it left you speechless and suffering.

You are too familiar with the "almost" until you want to give up. The pain that the "almost" gave to you was too painful to bear until it left you no choice but to give up.

Then comes the guilt and the regret; you will blame yourself for not giving all you’ve got. You are convincing yourself that it was all your fault that you didn’t get what you deserve.

You will feel useless and hopeless; you will feel so lost and messed up with your own mind. The anger and disappointment make you blame no one but yourself.

Little did you know, the "almost" is actually the answer that you’re always looking for. The "almost" is actually your savior towards the wrong path of life.

The "almost" is actually your final answer to shifting your attention in the other way; the universe is trying to wake you up and make you realize that you’re heading in the wrong direction.

You are too focused on how your entire world will be perfect if you get everything on that dream list, in fact – not everything on that list will bring you happiness.

The failures, the rejections, and all the things that didn’t fall into place were actually the way of the universe to put you in the right direction. You deserve so much more than in your dream list; you just haven’t seen it coming.

You don’t even know you want or need it yet.

I know that it will be really hard for you to accept the fact that you failed at something you’ve always chased for your entire life, but you can’t keep blaming yourself or the life that you lived in.

Because actually, whatever you do, it will happen the way it should be. If something is bad for you, the universe won’t let you get it; and if you keep chasing it, you will always confront the "almost" for the rest of your life.

Sometimes you have to accept the fact that if it was good for you to have it, you would have it by now.

I believe that, in the end, it wasn’t about the success story on how you always get what you want. It wasn’t about you getting accepted to your dream University, or getting the scholarship, the dream job, the high salary, or to be happily ever after with that special person you’ve always chased.

It was all about finding yourself and what you really deserve.

It was about how you struggled to study until it was 3 a.m. to get accepted into your dream college, it was about your effort in keeping your persistent behaviors in order to practice your skills to get the job you’ve always wanted, and it was about your loyalty and sincerity that you always give to your loved ones.

Or maybe, it was all about your parents who never stop praying for the best in everything that you do, and it was all about your friends that never stop giving you support to achieve the dreams that you’ve always chased.

At the end of the day, we all had this journey that led to where we are now. Cherish that.

Maybe, actually, it wasn’t about the destination, it was the journey; it was all about you and your struggles to pursue your dreams. It was all about finding your true self.

You are the soul that the universe loved the most, that is why you’ve always confronted the "almost" many times in your life. Because you deserve so much more than in your dream lists.

You are a warrior and the "almost" is saving you from the unfairness of this battlefield called life.

After all, the "almost" is actually a message for you regarding the life that you lived in; almost is always enough. Then, for once in your life; please don’t focus too much on your dream lists and let’s just live life to the fullest instead.

If you are too familiar with the "almost," all you have to do is just hang on; it’s going to hurt before it gets better. Always remember that the best is yet to come.
