Now that we’ve all gone through our Netflix queue (probably more than once), the nights are getting lonelier. Don’t let the coronavirus stop you from building a connection with someone! Make lemonade out of 2020's multiple lemons. We may not be able to use Tinder the way it's intended (be careful meeting new people in person), but there are still a lot of people on there. Everyone has realized how important connections are!

It’s now possible to do the unthinkable: actually have a meaningful conversation on tinder. Follow the steps below to turn the tinder classic conversation...

“Hi”
“Hey”
“How are you?”
“Good, you?”
“Good.”
*full stop*

...into something you can actually build a loving relationship off of!

How to Write a Dating Profile

The best chance of attracting good conversation is having a good profile.

Include your interests.

They’re called interests for a reason, they’re interesting. They make you unique and can easily lead to a conversation. Think about all the walks you’ve been going on recently, all the baking you’ve done over quarantine, all the TikTok dances you’ve tried to learn... mention that!

Mention your favorite TV show or movie.

Your favorite TV show is something you're passionate about, and something you could easily talk about to anyone all day. If they’ve seen it, hopefully they feel the same way!

Ask a question.

This is a great way to get to know someone and make them want to talk to you. Adding an icebreaker question to your profile gives the right-swiper something to talk about right off the bat, making them more likely to message you instead of waiting for you to come to them.

Tell a funny story.

Let them know how funny and great you are! Telling a funny story about you and your friends is a great way to show your personality.

Pick a good anthem.

Some dating apps have a really nice, convenient feature that lets you showcase your favorite song or a song that really encapsulates you as a person. Take advantage of it! Choosing a great song could easily give the other person enough material to start a conversation with you.

Let others know what you’re looking for.

If you know what you want, don’t be afraid to say it. People appreciate honesty. You’re showing you’re already good at communication before you’ve even had a conversation. If you both know you’re on the same page, it’ll be easier to stay on it!

Choose interesting profile photos.

Obviously, whoever you’re talking to knows how cute you are — facts are facts! But, if you choose interesting photos from Halloween or a funny photo, that interaction could lead to something more and is also a great conversation starter.

Use some good memes in your profile pictures.

If you’re not that great with words, don’t sweat. A picture is worth a 1000 words and a good meme is worth 100000!

Don’t forget — you can message first! Look for the same things in someone’s profile to know if you’re a good match.
