JR Smith's Wife Jewel Harris Calls Out Candice Patton For Her 'Affair' With The NBA Star

When word got out that very married athlete JR Smith was stepping out with The Flash actress Candice Patton, the Internet was ablaze with speculation about what Smith's wife was thinking when she realized her husband (who allegedly already had a reputation for stepping out on his past partners) was doing her dirty.
It didn't take long for the Internet to find out, as Harris released a video, as seen above, that was funny in one way, but disturbing in another.
Let's take a look at what she said about JR Smith, Candice Patton, and how her relationship with the Cleveland Cavaliers athlete, and current NBA free agent, is looking today.
1. Who is Jewel Harris? She married JR Smith back in 2016.
After dating JR Smith for a long time, Jewel Harris married JR Smith back in 2016. Though the pictures of their "big day" are deleted from their respective Instagrams, fellow NBA star Tristan Thompson (yes, the same Tristan Thompson who is the father of Khloe Kardashian's baby, True) still has some photos of "The Big Day" up on his Instagram page.
"Congrats to my bro @TeamSwish and @jewey808 on tying the knot. Glad I could be there on your special day!" Thompson wrote in his caption.
2. She founded a charity after their daughter, Dakota, was born extremely premature.
Jewel Harris is the CEO of My Kota Bear, a non-profit organization that focuses on raising money to help families with premature babies. My Kota Bear was named after Dakota, Jewel Harris' child with JR Smith, who was born four months premature.
3. When word broke about JR Smith's "creepin'," K. Michelle leaped to Jewel Harris' defense.
When word got out that JR Smith was allegedly creeping with Candice Patton, Smith's ex-girlfriend, Ashley Weatherspoon, took to her Instagram stories to allege that Smith also cheated with her while he was still dating Jewel Harris. That didn't sit well with K. Michelle, an R&B singer-turned-Love & Hip Hop star who took to her own Instagram stories to make clear that Weatherspoon was delusional. (K. Michelle would know a thing or two about JR Smith, because she dated him before he married Jewel Harris.)
"I know you not coming on here kicking this woman when she's down you dirty h**. This the same b**** yall that called me about this n***a before he was married. B**** he left you at the altar and married the other woman and you still mad. Since you wanna be vocal tell them about how I got you fired from a good-paying job at Atlantic cause you were harassing the artist (ME) about a n***a and you STILL going. I will beat yo a** on sight, h**, if you don't leave this family alone and allow them space and some peace. You will get stomped in the name of the Lord. I ain't forgot!" she said.
4. Even though JR Smith dated K. Michelle before he married Jewel Harris, K. Michelle didn't exactly sing Smith's praises.
"J.R. isn’t a good guy, though. He started off a good guy but it was me. I tried to push him away. J.R. has his own mental issues and he started to take advantage of my kindness because you know, when a man knows he got you and you’re fighting for him, that’s when they clown," she said.
Of course, the question begs itself: if she thinks JR Smith is so awful, why is she inserting herself into the drama? (Probably for the same reason Ashley Weatherspoon is: attention.)
5. Was Jewel Harris' marriage on the skids in October 2019?
Even though Jewel Harris posted a loving message to her husband on Instagram for his birthday back in September 2019, there was speculation that their relationship was showing cracks back in October 2019. At that time, Harris made a post that suggested there was "trouble in paradise" between her and her husband which, incidentally, was also around the same time that Smith started creeping with Patton.
6. Harris made a video praying for Smith and Patton.
Shortly after the news of his "creeping" with Candice Patton was made public, JR Smith took to his Instagram Stories to announce that he'd been separated for a long time. He subsequently deleted a series of his Instagram posts.
On December 17th, 2019, Jewel Harris posted a video on her Instagram page, in which she publicly prayed for Smith and Patton. Well, sort of.
"My husband, he’s hurting and Candice, she’s hurting... For her to go out here, Father God, and seek a married man, I just pray that you give her grace and mercy through all of this. God I am asking, father God, as your servant, to please help and heal my husband... and please forgive him because he know not what he do. Please forgive them lord because they don’t know the path of destruction that is before them father God for coming against your daughter!” she said in the video.
