Go big or go home.

"I was literally going to die, I swear." This might be something someone would say about either dangling off a cliff while being held up only by the teeth of a hungry mountain lion, or the utterance of someone who tasted tofu for the first time.
We tend to over-exaggerate everything we say for emphasis and a bit of humor, and we started doing this when we were kids. "I want a hundred million lollipops!" This way, kid! Here's your Golden Ticket!
As we get older, we still like embellishing a story for the sake of our rapt audience, but the need to take things all the way seems to lessen for some. Still, there are those of us who not only crave extreme actions and reactions, they tend to see everything in black and white, ride or die. No gray areas, no middle ground. You're either for me, or against me.
Whether it's thrill-seeking or just exaggeration, there are certain extreme zodiac signs in astrology who really enjoy taking things to the next level.
1. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Of course you'll find the biggest extremists born in Aries, with their stubborn ways and their inability to let go. If you want to see Aries really expose their full arsenal of extreme behavior, ask one what they plan on doing to an ex-lover — any ex.
Sit back, grab the popcorn, and get ready to watch The Commander at work. Aries takes revenge to the extreme, and they will never leave you cold for a story to accompany the bloodbath that they're about to unleash on your ears, if you dare to listen.
2. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
You'll find Sagittarius in the extremist mob, but not in any way that you could automatically guess. Sagittarius doesn't make a public statement when they go "extreme" because so much of what makes them act in that way is a need to get the hell away from society and all of its trappings.
So, while they will occasionally don the snowboard and do some extreme winter sports, they will also disappear from the face of the earth only to turn up in Tibet, 50 years later, wearing a sarong and chanting Om Namah Shivaya. Extreme much?
3. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Unfortunately, Geminis are prone to exaggeration and extreme behavior. It's not a myth that Gemini has a hard time communicating; not being able to make up one's mind takes a toll, and if they cannot deal with something emotional, they shut down, and that looks like an extreme move, especially if you're the one Gemini is shutting down.
Self-protection is extreme with this sign, so extreme that they end up sacrificing so much of their happiness. If you appear as a threat, in any way, shape or form, to a Gemini, they will remove themselves from your life, leaving you wonder who they even were in the first place.
4. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgo is by nature a fan and a fanatic, so taking things to the extreme is par for the course. They know all about diet and exercise — they know it all. And if there is one area where the extremes are fast and furious, it's in the world of weight loss and diet trends.
Virgo is the one who takes off 100 pounds, becomes a life coach and then adopts 50 old, large dogs. Then, once secured away, they gain 200 pounds and live happily, while watching Netflix all day and eating Bourbon Pecan Häagen Das. That's the Virgo extreme.
5. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
This sign likes to takes things to the extreme — almost to the point of dying. They are daredevils, pranksters, jackasses in training! If there's a threat of broken bones, count Scorpio in. They love the thrill of not knowing whether they're going to survive or not, and that crosses over into the bedroom as well.
Rough sex is just a prelude to the parkour sex they'll be having if they get their way. And they always get their way. If you want to see what extreme behavior really is, just tell a Scorpio you've had enough.
6. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus would like to stay cool, calm and rational, and on some level they actually are this (they're not). However, they have such short fuses and should something even slightly bother them, just wait — it's only just the beginning; you've got a night full of Taurus antics coming your way.
Go big or go home is a phrase that must have been created by a Taurus as they don't do anything unless its epically exaggerated. On the other hand, when it's party or event time, Taurus is the one you'll see passed out, upside down in a bowl of salsa. Once again, taking partying and raucous behavior to the extreme.
