Sometimes, no matter how far in advance we try to plan, Halloween just sneaks up on us. And the worst part is that we're left trying to come up with Halloween costume ideas that work for what we have in mind.
Maybe we had no Halloween plans and an obligation suddenly popped up. Or, maybe we have to go to something where coworkers or conservative family members will be. Or, maybe it’s even at a religious institution.
For moments like that, these Halloween costumes are modest, creative, and surprisingly easy to put together. So, what are you waiting for?
1. Princess Beauty
These sort of costumes are easy to find, but any shimmery long dress will work. Just pair it with a tiara.

2. Bat
This costume has a peaked hemline, wing flaps between sleeves, and side seams with soft-sculpted fur-tipped ears sewn to top of hood. To be a DIY bat, just grab a modest black knee-length shirt, bat ears, and black shoes.
