The idea of alpha and beta personality types has been around for a long time. And while people may demonstrate more of one type than another, we’re probably all a little bit of both.
Since astrology is strongly intertwined with all things personality-based, it’s not unusual to attribute alpha personalities to some people and beta personality types to others. So, who are the beta zodiac signs?
The personality characteristics most commonly associated with the beta personality are emotional, nurturing, strong, excellent communication, a strong sense of spirituality, being comfortable with who you are, and extreme caring. Betas are the glue that keep families together, and businesses running smoothly.
Some people believe that betas are passive and introverted, but that’s incorrect. It’s not that betas are never assertive or even aggressive — they are when they have to be. They don’t enjoy arguing or getting into fights, but they are also not going to stand by when the people and issues they care about are threatened.
1. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
While a Taurus knows how to make their presence known, they don't always have to be center-stage. They can be a team player without having to be the leader. They have strong opinions, and when it's important they'll share them.
They tend to not have a huge need to prove themselves because they know how great they are, and if someone else doesn't know it immediately, Taurus is confident they will eventually.
2. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis don't have to get up into somebody's face to get their message across because they're well aware of their brilliant communication skills. Geminis are fun, flexible, and don't want to be the person who makes all the plans and keeps to a strict time-table.
They will gladly let someone else be in charge, and are more about being spontaneous and going with the flow. Geminis are supportive and are there when someone needs a shoulder to cry on. They have done work on themselves and know who they are.
3. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Is there anyone as caring, nurturing, or emotional as a Cancer? The answer is no. If they love you, they'll show you immediately and consistently. Cancers can be quiet at times as long as no one they love is threatened; if they are, protective Cancer won't stand for their loved ones being hurt.
They are the bond of any group whether it's a family or the church choir. They're faithful without expectation and are happiest when they're home surrounded by love.
4. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
You need to be decisive if you want to be someone who takes immediate action, and that's not Libra. It takes a lot for them to act and usually that's only when Libra needs to stick up for someone or fight injustice.
Conflict is something to avoid whenever possible, and they would prefer if everyone could just get along. Libras make some of the best friends of any of the zodiac signs and they take their friendships seriously.
5. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces' strongest personality traits are all beta traits, such as how deeply they care for others, how intuitive they are, and how kind they act. They would much rather follow than lead, and prefer a peaceful life rather than one of stress and aggression.
They are extremely artistic and creative but often lack the alpha assertiveness they need to promote their work. Pisces are nobody's doormat, but they do tend to be too trusting when it comes to giving people second chances.
