He looks like a different person.

Did Simon Cowell have plastic surgery? If you live in Hollywood, you’re well aware that plastic surgery is just part of the lifestyle. Whether it’s reality television stars (Vicki Gunvalson and Heidi Montag) or even A-list celebrities (Britney Spears, Nicole Kidman, and Kylie Jenner, just to scratch the surface), cosmetic surgery is a way of life.

Sometimes, the surgery is strictly non-invasive, like Botox or lip fillers; other times, celebrities go full-on and get a complete overhaul with a nose job, breast lift, liposuction, and butt implants (looking at you, Kim)! But, another celebrity is joining the list of people who look unrecognizable after going under the knife: Simon Cowell.

Known for being a judge on American IdolThe X Factor, and America's Got Talent, the Simon Cowell plastic surgery photos show just how different the producer, manager, and critic looks.

Just ahead of his 60th birthday in October 2019, Cowell admitted to getting “too much Botox” and a face lift. A birthday gift, perhaps? But his reason for getting a face lift isn’t because he felt he was aging; it’s because he lost 20 pounds on a vegan diet and his face began to sag.

Last year, Cowell revealed he had gotten a facelift by cosmetic surgeon Dr. Jean-Louis Sebagh and received a Silhouette Soft Lift. He also underwent a “sewing bioplastic-infused thread.”

Speaking about the surgery, he said, “For me now, it’s all about having clean skin. If you have clean skin, you look better. But you have to be very careful with some of this stuff. There’s lots of things you can do now. You don’t just have to stuff your face with filler and Botox. It hurts like hell but it gets rid of sun damage and unplugs all the crap.”

However, he also expressed regret for getting the procedure, admitting he may have gone overboard.

“Hopefully I look better now. I probably did have a little too much Botox a couple of years ago, because everyone on TV has it. Now I have facials, but nothing too extravagant at the moment. I have a girl who comes here and does a great face massage. It’s very relaxing. I also had a sheep placenta facial once, which was quite out there,” he added.

Wait what? A sheep placenta facial? What will they think of next?!

According to skincare expert Louise Deschamps, “Sheep’s placenta stem cells mirror human stem cells. It is a protein base that is close to our own cellular makeup, so the body is able to absorb and recognizes it as its own. For the same reason, there is no chemically negative skin reaction to the product. It’s actually pretty close to the most perfect treatment.”

But in addition to these alterations to his face, he may have also had fillers.

Said Dr. Nyla Raja, “I suspect Simon’s fallen complexion is a combination of weight loss and also too much Botox. Injectables don’t need to be overdone and they don’t really need to change your appearance. Simon’s tightened jawline would have been achieved through a combination of ultrasound and dermal filler to lift, define and reshape his jaw.”

Cowell said he knew he had to make a life change when he fell down the stairs in the middle of the night back in October 2017.

“Within 24 hours I changed my diet and I’ve not looked back since. You feel better, you look better. I cut out a lot of the stuff I shouldn’t have been eating and that was primarily meat, dairy, wheat, sugar — those were the four main things,” he said.

For now, even though he’s completely unrecognizable, it’s good that he changed his life for the better. And hopefully, he doesn’t have anymore procedures.
