Did Dane Cook Get Plastic Surgery?

Did Dane Cook get plastic surgery?

Getting plastic surgery is almost always required if you live in Hollywood. And while there are plenty of actors, actresses and musicians who alter their faces and bodies, we don’t usually think of comedians going under the knife. (Exception: Carrot Top)

Though he’s fallen under the radar in recent years, photos of comedian Dane Cook have had people wondering for quite a while if he’s gotten cosmetic surgery. The photos alone are quite shocking, as Cook looks nothing like he did when his first comedy special was released in 2003.

But after a recent Instagram meme went viral, fans are wondering if Cook did, in fact, have plastic surgery.

Or are Cook's physical changes, both with his body and face, just part of his lifestyle changes and aging?

Aside from his hilarious anecdotes about the Kool-Aid Man, his dad not checking for rocks before putting down a Slip ‘N Slide, or mimicking the sounds of a car alarm, Cook is also known for dating much younger women.

At 47 years old, he’s been seen with 28-year-old model Amanda Cerny, 37-year-old Raquel Montero, and 31-year-old Heather Ashley Chase. He’s also dated Jessica Simpson, though she’s only eight years younger than him, and Nicole Scherzinger, who is six years younger.

Since May 2017, Cook has been dating Kelsi Taylor. She has been a backup singer for Demi Lovato and Little Big Town. Oh, and she’s 27 years Cook’s junior!

Could Cook's facial transformation just be a trick of the eye since he's been photographed next to a much younger woman?

It would make sense to have actual plastic surgeons weigh in, right?

According to two experts, it does appear Cook has altered his face, though neither of them has treated the comedian.

Dr. Andrew Miller said, “...you can see how his eyebrows seem lower. This does occur with natural aging, but it does look like he has had Botox to the forehead because the middle part of his brow is lower than the outer part. If it were simply aging, the whole brow would come down together.”

Dr. Adam Hamawy added, “Dane Cook is using Botox, or Brotox as we like to call it, to help elevate the eyebrows and keep his forehead smooth from wrinkles. But that is also what is making the center portion of his brow look heavy. He also looks like he has had a rhinoplasty to narrow the width of his nose.”

But back in January 2018, Cook addressed the rumors that he had plastic surgery. In an Instagram post in the comments section, he explained that his new look is due to his lifestyle change, focusing on being physically fit and drinking lots of water.

He said, “So many weirdos DMing me asking why I wax my eyebrows or Botox. It’s called healthy living my friends. Never drank or did a drug. All that s*** f***s up your skin. I’ve had a dermatologist for years to help me keep my skin nice with constant travel. Drink mostly water!”

While Cook credits getting into good shape and healthy living as the reason for his changes, he still looks completely different from the Dane Cook we knew and loved.

This meme on Instagram went viral because Cook appears so different than he did years ago. Just look at the side by side, and it's clear his face has changed quite a bit.

Well, as long as he’s happy, then that’s all that matters, right?
