Who Is Meghan King Edmonds? New Details On The 'Real Housewives Of Orange County' Star And Her Husband Jim Edmonds' Cheating Scandal

Instagram As a fan of the Real Housewives in all of its various and splendid forms, I am more than a little well versed in who Meghan King Edmonds is. But even if you aren't a Bravo addict like yours truly, chances are you've been seeing her name in the headlines a lot these days. So what in the heck in going on with this woman that she's back on all your fav websites?
Well, it's a cheating scandal. Meghan is married to former MLB star Jim Edmonds, and when rumors that he was unfaithful turned out to be total fact, it left Meghan at a serious crossroads. Here's what we know about Meghan, Jim, and what the future holds for their marriage. Who is Meghan King Edmonds?
1. The News
When you're in the spotlight, chances are your relationship is going to be there too. Sometimes this means dealing with rumors that aren't true, but at other times the tabloids smell smoke where there is a fire. That's exactly what happened to former MLB player Jim Edmonds and his wife, former Real Housewives of Orange County star, Meghan King Edmons.
A tabloid wesbite first shone a light on rumors that Jim was less than faithful, claiming that he cheated on his second wife, Allison Raski with a woman known as the "baseball madame." The site went on to say that when Meghan became pregnant with their twins, Jim and this so-called Baseball Madame reconnected putting his marraige to Meghan in peril. It didn't take long for this news to spread like the wildfire it was.
2. The Allegations
According to multiple sources, Jennifer Villegas AKA the Baseball Madame has dated with several other professional athletes. Though Jim has been quick to shoot down rumors that he ever had sex with Villegas, he has publicly admitted to having what he describes as a "lapse in judgment" where he wound up sending lewd videos and pics to Villegas, beginning while Meghan was pregnant with the couple's twins, Hart and Hayes.
Jim is alleged to have even sent Villegas a video of himself masturbating the day his wife went into labor with the twins. When the news broke, Villegas could only say so much, having claimed that she signed an NDA. But Jim doesn't like the way she's painting herself as a victim. “It’s amazing what people can make up. This chick was mad at me for turning her down," he said.
3. The Other Woman
As for Villegas, it's safe to say that when she first spoke with the tabloid blog in question she had no idea it would blow up to this extent. Now, she's frantically making her apologies in the hopes that she will stop being painted the bad guy in this story. And let's do our own part to help in this: it takes two to tango, and while she certainly doesn't come out of this smelling like roses, Jim is hardly an innocent.
In her attempt to do damage control, Villegas revealed even more about just how real she perceived her relationship with Jim to be: “I never set anyone up, blackmailed anyone nor have I attempted to ruin anyone’s family. All my relationships have involved two consenting adults. I made a poor decision to enter a relationship with a married man, and for that I am sorry.”
4. Meghan Speaks
This all begs the question, what does Meghan think of all of this? One of the great things about Meghan is that she doesn't hide anything. She wrote about Jim's affair in her blog, saying "don’t trust him anymore. Physical or not, he still had an affair and he admits this to me." In an interview with Us Weekly, she cut him even less slack. “I only blame my husband for his actions: he made the choice to betray my trust and jeopardize our marriage. His recklessness also allowed this woman to profit from my heartbreak — but now that her name is out there, she won’t be able to shake down any other families as I rebuild mine," added Meghan with vitriol.
5. Moving On
For all of her sternness and her clear anger with her husband, Meghan doesn't seem to be in any rush to kick Jim to the curb. I'll be real, he doesn't deserve her, and I say this as someone who watched her entire run of RHOC: he seems cranky, barely into her and his job makes it so that he is almost never around. But Meghan is dedicated to her marriage.
To help let folks know she's moving on, Meghan is employing some humor on her social media. On Instagram, for example, she faked people out with a pregnancy announcement (the belly was a stuffed animal). When haters quickly remarked at how she wasn't wearing her wedding ring, she pointed out just as fast that the image was mirrored so the hand they were seeing was her right, not her left.
