Do you picture your life with the man you love, bound to you by sterling rings, and legally sworn to your side?
Are you sitting in your apartment, staring dead eyed at your boyfriend, waiting for him to turn to you, in his boxers and finally proclaim to the world that you are the only one for him?
That he has been waiting this long because he was waiting for the right moment, because it’s a moment youre going to one day describe to your grandchildren?
And this, the moment when he in his boxers and you in your dead eyes, watching man vs wild starring Bear Grills, couldn’t be a more perfect opportunity for him to turn to you, heart in hand, begging you to spend your life with him?
Do you ask yourself every morning why he hasn’t grown the courage to finally bind himself to you for all eternity?
Do you fear he will never be ready?
This article sets out to prove while perhaps your marriage may be written in the stars, he may not be ready to see that yet.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries are competitive. They are fast to act. Aries men are aggressive, impulsive, and I can promise you if they want something they are going to make sure they get it. If you are unsure if your Aries man is ready to settle down chances are, he is not.
Now I can concede that it may be confusing. Aries men tend to be very passionate. If you are at home reading “the signs” and thinking that his actions speak louder than his words, you are probably incorrect. An Aries man will be direct and honest. Even if that truth is painful. The best advice to find out if an Aries man is ready to get married, is to look him in the eyes and ask him directly.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
A Taurus man is going to stand by your side. He is going to support you, protect you, and be a shoulder for you to lean on. He is going to show up every day, reliably, sensually, and devotedly. Your Taurus man wants to take care of you.
If you think its time to get married and he is dragging his feet, perhaps it is because he is happy. Taurus’s like stability, not change. If he is happy and comfortable with you and your lives together, he may not be running to the courthouse to sign a marriage certificate.
Do not take this is as a bad sign. It means he is devoted to you. If he starts slowly describing scenarios where you are involved in his future, or trying to picture what your children’s names will be, or picturing which neighborhoods would be good for the two of you to purchase a house, this means he is likely ready.
It may take him a while to get there but your Taurus Man is built for marriage. He will eventually make it happen.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis are tricky. They are very gentle and affectionate. They are also very adaptable to new situations, yet they are known to change their minds on a dime.
They can be restless and unsettled and indecisive. This makes it hard for a Gemini to say with any certainty that “yes” they want to get married and “yes” they want to be married to you.
However, where Geminis shine is that they are very good at communicating. It is likely that you already know whether or not your Gemini man is ready for marriage because it is likely he has already told you.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Family is very important to a Cancer man. He is likely very close to his own family, and eager to start one of his own. A cancer man is very emotional and intuitive.
He likely can sense whether you want to get married and will be sympathetic to that.
It is easy for a Cancer man to attach himself to someone so if he was ready to get married, you would likely be married already. And probably expecting your second child.
He is loyal so if he feels like marriage is the right thing for you, he may even propose out of duty. But if you’re unsure of the intentions of your Cancer man, just ask him.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leos tend to be very dominant in relationships. They are the pusher. It is likely that your Leo man made the first move. It is likely that your Leo man is the one initiating dates, organizing trips, and introducing you to family members.
So if things are moving quickly in your relationship, that is unsurprising. But now you’re starting to think about marriage and you want to know if he is on the same page. Leo men tend to be on the lazy side, so perhaps the idea of picking out a ring and planning a wedding is overwhelming for your little Leo.
But one thing to understand that when a Leo makes up his mind, he is not changing it. If he has definitively told you that he doesn’t want to get married, it would be a far-fetched idea to think he was going to change his Lion heart.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos are very analytical. If they are starting to think about marriage it is likely that they will begin talking about the financial and logistical aspects of it first.
If your Virgo man starts asking about what kind of retirement plan you have set up, he may be thinking of the future. If he starts thinking about how much stuff you each have and suggesting ways to consolidate, he is likely in the mindset of marriage.
Just remember that your Virgo man is very shy, and critical of himself. He may be dragging his feet because of his own insecurities. Make sure to keep communication lines open. Let him know why you want to marry him specifically. This may help move your Virgo along.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
A libra is looking for balance. Plain and simple. They are looking for someone who loves them equally, who makes up for their flaws, and who’s short comings they can compensate for. If you and your Libra have found a harmony together, you may be wondering if he is in the mindset of marriage.
Look for your Libra man moving things in his life to make room for you. Look for him clearing space for you in his home, or making time for your friends, or inviting you to join him in his hobbies.
A Libra man will notice if something in you is unbalanced so if this is something that is bothering you, it is better to just bring it up to him. Talk to him about it, and he will explain to you how he is feeling.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios live through their fingertips. They are always looking for a new adventure and making quick impulsive decisions. In relationships, Scorpios are very passionate and assertive.
They make grand sweeping gestures, wanting to wrap you in desire and satiation, simultaneously. Scorpio men are usually direct and to the point. In fact, passiveness is a thorn in the paw of a Scorpio. If he feels he is ready to get married, he will move quickly and romantically.
Chances are if you think he’s dragging his feet, he likely is. I would open the discussion of a future together and talk it through with him. That is the best way to learn if he is ready to marry you.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
A Sagittarius man is going to be very optimistic. If he loves you a lot, even if there are problems, he will believe you can make things work. He will do anything to complete his goals, so if marriage is a goal he is likely going to make it to one knee whether he is ready or not.
One thing to look out for with a Sagittarius man, is the false promise. A Sagittarius, while very well intended, can be overly so overly optimistic that he promises more than he can fulfill. There is a chance that he says he is ready to get married because he loves you and doesn’t want to lose you, but at the end of the day he isn’t.
I would recommend not putting pressure on your Sagittarius, but just talking openly. Let him know that while you want to get married, you would rather wait until he was fully prepared to make that commitment and all it means.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorns, even at an early age, are very family minded. Marriage is usually a goal for the Capricorn. Capricorn men are generally very sensible and responsible. They are always going to do what they think is responsible and best for everyone.
Capricorns are going to wait until they are fully ready on paper before they address if they are emotionally ready. They are going be thinking about finances, where you each are in your careers, and how you each picture your future separately and if those images line up.
Even if they are completely prepared financially and emotionally, mentally the Capricorn men tend to be pessimistic. Just be sure to reassure him that you are there for the good and the bad and everything in between. He loves you, hell come around.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius men like to be alone. They are quiet, deep thinkers. Aquarius men aren’t the type to jump into marriage.
They will love talking about it, debating it, thinking of what each aspect of the commitment means, but actually making the leap will be hard for an Aquarius. When an Aquarius man says he wants to get married he really truly means it, but it will be a long trek to get there.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces men are very intuitive. They will feel when it is time for them to start planning a future. They will feel when you are ready, and they will know when it makes sense.
Pisces men will be very in tune to what you want and what you like. He will make sure that you feel secure in your relationship. If you don’t feel like you and your Pisces are on the same page, he is probably already aware. Just talk to him. You both will figure out a plan that will keep you in sync.
