Have fun this fall and personalize your activities using your zodiac sign. Why not? The weather’s getting colder. But not too cold to stay in all day.

Granted, sometimes it’s best to have an excuse to not go outside. Fall often offers fantastic cuddle weather.

If you're bored, there are plenty of other activities that are perfect to do in cold weather.

That’s the struggle with Fall sometimes, though. There are often so many things to do it’s hard to figure out exactly what you want to do.

You probably already have some staple fall traditions. Maybe you like going to a specific pumpkin patch. Maybe there’s a specific recipe you always make for Thanksgiving.

It’s always fun to try new things. Spring might seem like the season for that, with warmer weather and new life growing.

Any season is good for making changes, but with all the opportunities unique to Fall, there are certain things you shouldn’t miss.

There’s only so much time, however: unfortunately you can’t do everything fall has to offer. (If you can, kudos! Also: how?!). There are some activities you might enjoy more than others.

This is due in part to your astrological sign. Just as there are first date ideas based on your sign, vacation destinations, and so on, there are fall activities that mesh well with your specific horoscope sign interests.

It’s also important to take the astrological aspects of Fall season into consideration: autumn spans Libra, Scorpio, and Sagittarius season. These can be pretty intense seasons, especially for relationships. Scorpio and Sagittarius land during cuffing season for a reason.

It’s important to reinforce your relationships, no matter their nature —friendships, FWBs, romantic, etc. — or take a break and maybe take some time to yourself.

No matter what, there are plenty of things for you to do this autumn. Scroll to find out which things are best for you, by zodiac sign.

ARIES (March 21 - April 19): Play Some Football

Fall is the most exciting time for football, aside from the Super Bowl. It’s a great excuse to go out almost any night of the week to watch games with your friends. Fantasy is in full swing: you may even be involved yourself, Aries. In that case--best of luck!

Why not play some actual football yourself? It’s the perfect time, the perfect weather. Get some friends together and try some low-key touch. If that’s too much, at least toss a ball with someone else. Get up and moving and live in the moment, not in the screen.

TAURUS (April 20 - May 20): Go to the Farmer's Market.

In some ways, summer seems to be peak farmers’ market season. Bright weekend mornings filled with local produce ready for a cookout. Then summer fruits and vegetables slowly phase out as summer ends.

Of course it’s sad to see fresh tomatoes and cantaloupe go, but they’re replaced with other great foods for fall meals. Leave your comfort zone behind and dip into new produce and flavors. Try recipes you might never have tried before--maybe they’ll become part of your regular fall menu. The farmers’ market also provides opportunities to do some early Christmas shopping too!

GEMINI (May 21 - June 20): Host a party.

Put your communication skills to use and host a fall party for the ages! There’s a host of occasions to use as excuses: Halloween, Thanksgiving, fall in general. Fall fests are popular; why not have your own?

This may seem like a lot of work, but a Halloween party, Friendsgiving celebration, or general fall fest are perfect events for Geminis. You can always ask for a little help from your friends. All the better to get them involved and talking.

CANCER (June 21 - July 22): Visit a candle store.

It may sound trivial, but visiting candle shops can be an adventure and a half. When I go to a Yankee Candle store, I always end up spending more time than I suspect is normal. Most times I don’t end up spending any money.

This activity is great for Cancers specifically because of the emotional connections you can draw to some of the scents. Fall scents are, of course, the best candle stores have to offer. A candle can also be a great holiday gift, and coming from a Cancer, the recipient will know a lot of thought went into it.

LEO (July 23 - August 22): Go on a hike.

A good challenge for Leos is a physical one. The crisp autumn air will spur you to go and do before winter traps you. A hike is a perfect activity for Leos to expend their energy and take full advantage of the season.

An area with lots of trees is ideal, as it means two things: one, you can look at the leaves in the trees, and two, you can step on fallen leaves for a satisfying crunch. Just like a kid. You’re likely to bring someone with you--a friend, a partner, kids, a pet--but consider taking time to yourself as well.

VIRGO (August 23 - September 22): Have a scary movie night.

This may take a Virgo out of their comfort zone a little bit. But fall is all about change … unless you happen to be a scary movie connoisseur. In that case, it’s best to watch a not-so-good scary movie; a Sharknado type.

Regardless, Virgos tend to be practical perfectionists, so it’s important to take a break from having such high standards. Invite some friends over, make some popcorn--bonus points if you pop it on the stove, a true homage to autumn--and get the movie going.

LIBRA (September 23 - October 22): Try fall gardening.

Flower season doesn’t end with the summer. There are plenty of plants that bloom later in the calendar year. Libras can balance the dying leaves with new life in their house, backyard, on their porch, or at a community garden.

Some choice plants for fall are mums, pansies, asters, and kale. If you don’t have much of a green thumb, succulents and cacti are a great, laid-back choice.

SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21): Do some autumn baking.

Scorpio season is at the peak of autumn, so Scorpios will be hitting their peak of the year as well. It can be a pretty intense time as well. A grounding activity is pretty necessary around this time, as you may get caught up in all the goings-on in your life.

Baking can straddle the line of being relaxing or stressful. Fall is a great opportunity to explore this. It’s a great opportunity to explore new recipes, too. Try autumn recipes, specifically comfort foods.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21): Go on a road trip.

Sags are already predisposed to desiring adventure. What better way to satisfy this wanderlust than with a road trip? It doesn’t have to be cross-country--maybe cross-county instead.

A road trip at this time of the year has its perks over other months. Unlike in summer, AC is not a concern. No potholes like in the spring. Nor is snow an issue.

The weather is ideal, and there are so many places you can go. There’s so much to see on the drive as well. It’s best to find a route that covers many different kinds of environments to best appreciate the beauty of the Fall season.

CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19): Have a fall picnic.

Picnics seem to be more of a summer thing. Why? It’s too hot. Bugs everywhere. Ew. It doesn’t make much sense to a detail-oriented Capricorn.

Have a fall picnic instead. It’s probably best to keep the guest list limited, specifically close family, friends, or just your partner. These close relationships are more important to you than most other things. Thus a picnic is a great opportunity to show the people you care most about some due appreciation and have fun planning it all the while.

AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18): Go antiquing.

If spring is all about cleaning … then fall is about collecting. This isn’t a bad thing. Not really. Maybe for other signs, but not for logical Aquarius.

Antique shopping can be a blast for Aquarians. The history behind the items you look at is just as important as its appearance and condition, if not more so. And of course, antiquing can lead to some great finds for holiday gifts. Whether they’re for someone else or yourself.

PISCES (February 19 - March 20): Learn how to knit.

You’re never too young to knit. Well, maybe if you’re a kid. But this activity typically prescribed to old women is appropriate for anyone. Once you learn, it can be a rather calming activity, too —a way to keep your hands busy and mind on yarn and needles.

Knitting can be done any time of the year, of course, but it’s great to prepare for the winter and, perhaps by the time you master it (as a creative sign, Pisces can definitely get knitting down pretty quickly), a scarf or hat can be a great gift. It’s also a great way to ground yourself in the three non-earth seasons of fall.
