Intimacy can be a strange, difficult, and funny thing. Each zodiac sign has strengths and weaknesses when it comes to intimacy and romance. Even your horoscope plays a role in its influence.
Aries has difficulty with letting others get to know them, while Gemini is a great big flirt that's difficult to nail down, and Cancer can be a serious emotional wreck. Each of us have a lot we can work on.
The negative traits of our zodiac sign reveal what we aren't exactly best at. But sometimes, they point out where we're the weakest and show us the best way to grow, especially in the bedroom. Here are the intimacy issues for each zodiac sign and how they can fix these problems.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries wants to have it their way. You enjoy doing things on your own and don't fear not having a relationship. Practicing give and take is important for your overall love life. It's important to be willing to give a little bit.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus is quick to make a commitment, often not taking the needed time to properly vet and get to know their partner. You tend to want things to stay the same forever and when that doesn't work out, you find yourself in a rut. Be willing to make changes.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Gemini is least comfortable settling down and often simply can't commit. Try investing yourself deeply into your partner. Don't feel like you have to hide your dark twin.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancer refuses to expose its soft underbelly, preferring its hard, crabby shell protecting it at all times. Allow yourself to be exposed to your lover's mercy. Allow others to nurture you. Don't nurture others exclusively.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leo has a hard time letting go of control. You want to be in charge at all times. Your greatest barrier to intimacy is not being able to share power in the relationship.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgo has the hardest time trusting and feeling worthy. These are the roots of your intimacy issues. Understand that everyone has imperfections and a few trust issues now and then. Don't let it derail you.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libra is a well organized and balanced person. You keep people feeling comfortable. You tend to be carefree and, perhaps, blasé when you shouldn't be. Be more decisive in your life. Believe in yourself.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
People are often threatened by Scorpio, which is your greatest obstacle to closeness. You don't avoid intimacy but you have trouble attracting it. Consider your intensity and bluntness a great feature for some parts of life, but perhaps not romance.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarius is fiery, often coming on incredibly strong. Most people interested in casually dating until they meet the right person will see this and tuck tail. Ease up a little bit.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
In a relationship, Capricorn wants to be the strong one. You sometimes come off as stoic and unfeeling. Let your vulnerabilities show from time to time. Let your partner in.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius naturally prefers logic to feelings, which keeps you feeling self-contained and cold. You fear losing your freedom. Don't. Let people in.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces is likable but has issue realizing the self. You're a chameleon. You try to blend in wherever you can. You create too many boundaries. Break down some of those walls and be yourself.
