Are you life partner material?

When it comes to finding (and keeping) a life partner, it's all about compatibility. Sure, you might meet someone who is the most mind-blowing individual you've ever known, someone you're inspired by and totally infatuated with, but if your fundamental personality traits, habits, and values aren't in alignment, it's not going to work for the long-term, even if your horoscope says otherwise.
The thing about who makes a "better" life partner than someone else really is hard to rank, because it's a matter of finding your right match, not just finding a "perfect" person. However, what is easy to rank are people's general dispositions — the kind of traits that make them more universally liked, or perhaps more inclined to commit.

Though it's impossible to say that every Scorpio is a perfect spouse or that every Sagittarius is destined to cheat on you (of course, neither of these could possibly be true), it is possible to say that Scorpios are the most loyal sign in the Zodiac, and Sags tend to thrive in more low-key open-ended relationships.
So though this list is certainly not definitive, it might highlight some of the zodiac signs that make the best life partners and are made for marriage. It will also help shed light on why some seem to be the opposite.
1. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios are almost never ranked first when it comes to who makes the best life partner, and that's a shame because Scorpios are the most loyal people that exist. They are territorial (and yes, this can sometimes be a product of their jealousy) but in the end, it's that unwavering commitment that makes them amazing best friends and spouses. A Scorpio will do anything for the people they love, and because they tend to have strong personalities, they either "click" with someone or they don't. When they do, it's magic, and their desire to feel validated only fuels this more. A Scorpio will stand by you forever. Don't sleep on these hidden gems (pun perhaps intended?).

2. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers almost always come in toward the top of relationship rankings, and that's with good cause. Cancers are known as being the "relationship people" of the Zodiac. They are warm, funny, love love, and desire home and commitment. Cancers are best when they are happily thriving with another person, even if they are introverted. Cancers traditionally make the best husbands and wives; it's in their nature to want to ground and to feel secure at home with a family they love.

3. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras are known for being the romantics of the Zodiac, but it's their flirtatiousness, indecisiveness, and desire for perfection that may lead some people to assume they aren't great long-term partners. However, this couldn't be further from the truth. Libras' indecision will manifest toward the beginning of their lives, while they're still in the trial and error process of dating. Once they have found their person, they will commit forever and won't turn back. Their life will be about making the relationship as best as it can be. They are the rulers of love for a reason!

4. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Aside from being one of the most altogether liked signs in the Zodiac (everyone loves sweet Pisces... they just do), they also make great partners. Their soft and non-confrontational outlook on life soothes a lot of relationship woes, and their softness and idealistic tendencies make it super-romantic. Pisces thrive in commitment (even if some think they won't). They need that kind of security and stability in their lives as often as they can get it. Pisces are the kind of life partner that you can always rest your shoulder on and can trust that they will be there no matter what.

5. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis are one of the zodiac signs that make the best life partners because they are actually amazing at relationships. Often, they get dubbed for not being that great because they are so emotional (and typically a little bit self-involved). But when a Gemini commits their heart to someone, they commit forever, and their love knows no bounds or logic or reason. Sure, Geminis are notorious for ending up (and then sticking with) the wrong relationships, but altogether they make amazing, trustworthy, interested, fun, exciting and honorable significant others. 6. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Tauruses are known for being easy to commit, but also easy to lose interest. 11. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius' are just not relationship people by nature, though they can be if and when the right person comes around. Aquarians are so odd and have such different and outlandish ideas that it can be hard for them to relate to people; also, unlike Cancers, for example, their fulfillment and happiness in life does not usually come from having a life partner; it comes from creating some kind of quantifiable, profound change in the world. 12. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarius are explorers, wanderers, thinkers, and adventurers. They absolutely thrive when they are learning new information, meeting new people, and living "on the edge." Now, when a Sag does find someone they want to spend their life with, they will commit to them quickly. Otherwise, Sagittariuses are the hardest to nail down. It is simply not in their nature to want to sustain a long-term relationship (and by the way, people often say that Sags are the most likely to cheat out of all the signs, unfortunately).
