About Stephanie Buehler

Dr. Stephanie Buehler is a licensed psychologist and AASECT-certified sex therapist, and Director of The Buehler Institute in Newport Beach, CA.  Dr. Buehler's expertise is in helping men, women, and couples achieve pleasure and intimacy, in and out of the bedroom with specialized sex and relationship therapy.

Dr. Buehler is the author of Sex, Love, and Mental Illness: A Couple's Guide to Staying Connected, and she often helps couples where one partner--or both--are affected by problems like mood and anxiety disorders, substance abuse recovery, AD/HD, Asperger's Syndrome, and so forth, who may have sexual difficulties that other professionals don't understand.  She is also the author of Sex & Passion: The Essential Guide, a Kindle book for couples who want to have better sex, and What Every Mental Health Professional Needs to Know about Sex, a book for non-sex therapists on how to help clients with typical problems.

Dr. Buehler is a graduate of UCLA, USC, Pepperdine University, and California School of Professional Psychology.  She is an active member of numerous organizations and frequently speaks to other professionals about her area of expertise.  She also enjoys supervising therapists who are seeking AASECT sex therapy certification.
