Women Who Never Feel Good Enough Often Say 9 Sad Phrases In Casual Conversation
PeopleImages / Shutterstock It’s not uncommon for people to feel like they aren’t good enough when their insecurities make it hard for them to have any self-esteem at all.
Women seem to develop these feelings even more easily because of the pressure they face. Many are good at hiding it, but using phrases like these regularly shows that they’re really struggling with their self-worth.
Women who say these sad phrases often during casual conversations probably never feel good enough for anyone

Everyone lets this phrase slip out sometimes when they feel guilty about having to ask for help, but women who don’t feel good enough say it all the time. This is something they really worry about instead of using it as an indirect apology like others do.
These women usually think they’re bothering people because they’ve come to believe that they’re a burden in general. Instead of giving themselves the same grace they offer others, they feel like they’re inconvenient. Even though that isn’t true, it’s hard to escape that mindset.
2. ‘I’m probably talking too much’
There are a lot of reasons why someone really might talk too much, and chances are we’ve all met someone who fits that description before. Some people can clearly see they aren’t one of those people, but others have a harder time recognizing that.
Even when they’re not monopolizing a conversation, insecure women still worry that they’re being over-the-top. It’s sad when they keep brilliant ideas to themselves because of that.
3. ‘Everyone else has their life together’
We’re all wired to compare ourselves to others and then base our own self-image off of those comparisons. This is easier to do than ever before now that we can all take a look at random strangers’ lives all the time on social media.
Women who feel like they aren’t good enough have even more trouble with this than the average person. They get stuck on the idea that everyone is succeeding except for them. This feeling of inferiority takes a major toll on them.
4. ‘I always mess everything up’
People who are dealing with a tough combination of low self-esteem and high stress are the most likely to think everything they do is wrong, so it makes sense that women who think they aren’t enough would start to believe this.
It’s not actually possible to do every single thing wrong. That logic is a lot easier to accept when someone doesn’t already think the worst of themselves, though.

We’re all told that hope is a good thing, but anxious people actually feel better when they prepare for the worst-case scenario. It’s a coping mechanism known as defensive pessimism.
This basically means that because something bad could happen, that’s what they expect, so it doesn’t hurt them as much if it really does happen.
Women who never feel good enough may lean into this mindset because they don’t think they deserve good things. All of the times that something has gone wrong stand out to them the most, so they base what they think will happen in the future on that.
6. ‘The only problem here is me’
It sounds really harsh to say anyone is a problem, but some people do have toxic traits that make them really hard to deal with. Insecure women probably aren’t toxic, though. They become convinced that they’re a problem for entirely different reasons.
There’s a good chance that someone made them feel this way in the past and it stuck with them. Instead of realizing that the other person was the one with a problem, they internalized that criticism and just assumed it was true.
7. ‘I wish I could just be normal’
Everyone has had that feeling of being on the outside looking in before, but being emotionally neglected in the past can make it even worse. There’s a good chance that women who don’t think very much of themselves have faced that at some point.
No one else actually looks at them and thinks they’re different in some way, but they don’t have the same perspective. In their minds, it’s like everyone else is living on a different frequency that they can never reach.
8. ‘I’m falling behind everybody else’
People feel like they’re behind in life when they spend too much time comparing themselves to others. This gives them standards they could never live up to that are based on the best moments they see from everyone else.
It’s easy for women to fall into this trap. Society pits them against each other more than most, so it’s natural for them to start thinking that way. But the truth is that they’re comparing their failures to the things other people think are good enough to share, so it’s not fair at all.

It’s understandable that anyone who feels like they aren’t good enough would let that seep into their relationships. Women who think they aren’t good enough in general will also come to the conclusion that they aren’t good enough for other people, too.
Unfortunately, having strong relationships is linked to feeling more confident. That puts these women at a serious disadvantage because they can’t develop the connections they need to feel better about themselves. It’s like they can’t win no matter what they do.
