8 Reasons The Kindest People Often Cut Everyone Off Very Fast

But kind people who put others first and sacrifice their own happiness don't often receive anything in return. Instead, they end up cutting everyone off, and for some very good reasons.
Here are the reasons truly kind people tend to quickly cut everyone off:
1. They're tired of being an emotional dumping ground

Emotionally intelligent, empathetic people usually end up being the therapists of their friend groups and families. They know how to make people feel better and support them in the worst of situations, but they're also not getting any of that good energy in return.
They're constantly wasting power on people who don't care to see or support them, and at some point, it's not worth it anymore.
2. They feel consistently disrespected
Disrespect isn't something kind people have the emotional bandwidth to deal with on a constant basis. They don't want to put up with people overstepping their boundaries or lying to them.
Even in relationships they thought would last forever, not seeing a hurtful person change their mindset is evidence enough to walk away. They're known for their grace, so it makes the relationships and people they choose to cut off much more deserving of it.
3. They notice people's actions not matching their promises
People who don't change don't believe they need to. They make promises in their relationships and over-explain everything, but when it comes time to change their own actions, they fall short over and over again.
A kind person can give grace a few times, but if they notice someone's promises never match their actions, it's not worth their energy to beg. For sensitive people who are vulnerable to absorbing everyone else's energy, these relationships are too draining to keep around.
4. They're tired of reaching out first

Being the planner or the first person to text all the time can be draining. When you start to realize that if you don't put in effort first, your relationships will drift apart, there's no reason to keep sabotaging your own peace to maintain them.
So, truly kind people who care about others do want to nurture their relationships, but at some point they have to set boundaries.
5. They don't feel supported
Fake friendships and superficial relationships aren't uncommon, partially because we've been conditioned to act entitled and protect our own comfort. But kind people are willing to inconvenience themselves for those they love, assuming they're being appreciated in return.
When they don't feel heard, they feel like they're wasting their energy on a one-sided relationship that only benefits the other person. They're willing to expend energy on a loved one going through a hard time, but when that dynamic starts to harm them, it's not healthy.
6. They refuse to give third and fourth chances
Forgiveness leads to higher well-being over time, but giving someone third and fourth chances is a sign to walk away. Kind people give grace, but they also don't allow anyone to walk all over them.
They'll always forgive someone to avoid seeking closure, but they don't give constant access. They move forward and prioritize relationships that actually energize them and add value to their lives.
7. They're tired of being around gossip 24/7
The kindest people are wildly empathetic, finding ways to put themselves in another's shoes, even when they're hurt or disappointed. They're sensitive, which is a superpower but can put them at risk for soaking up other people's contagious negative energy.
That's why compassionate folks have to walk away from people who can't help but gossip about others. They believe the most interesting things about them are what they know about everyone else, but that's not something kind people are willing to tolerate.
8. Their kindness is being taken for granted

Around manipulative people who take advantage of kindness, it's essential for empathetic folks to stick to their boundaries. If someone repeatedly oversteps their boundaries or takes advantage of their grace, they're not going to waste anymore energy on them.
It can sometimes be uncomfortable to stand up for themselves, but they know they don't have much to give others or themselves if they're letting someone completely drain their generosity.
