Women With Big Hearts & Zero Common Sense Get Taken Advantage Of In 7 Very Sad Ways
Alexander Zvir | Pexels Women with big hearts have an enormous capacity for empathy, but it often makes them susceptible to manipulation when they lack common sense.
Even if a woman is big-hearted, she also needs good judgment and boundaries. Otherwise, people can easily take advantage of her in sad ways.
Women who have big hearts but lack common sense get taken advantage of in these sad ways
1. They keep giving people chances they haven't earned

A big-hearted woman may be incredibly good at finding reasons to forgive someone. And while everyone makes mistakes and deserves a second chance, unlimited opportunities aren't good.
A woman who desperately wants to believe in people's goodness may keep giving opportunities, but eventually, this stops being an act of kindness and becomes a way to avoid the truth. It's difficult for empathetic people to accept because it means giving up on a version of someone they thought could change.
A woman may see who a person could become, rather than who they consistently show themselves to be. Because she lacks common sense to see outside of the situation, she doesn't realize that forgiveness doesn't require continued access to someone's heart.
2. They become everyone's emergency contact
Some women become the person everyone calls when something goes wrong. Being reliable is a great trait to have, and women like this enjoy knowing that others can count on her to help. But the problem is when her reliability becomes one-sided.
Everyone knows where to find her, but she doesn't know who to call when she needs help with something. She's taught other people to expect her to always be available, so much so that they don't even ask anymore. They just assume she will say yes.
Asking for help becomes less of a request and more of an expectation for her when this happens. Her generosity is being taken advantage of, and she's receiving nothing in return. She may love deeply, but she doesn't understand that being needed is not the same thing as being valued.
3. They lend money because they feel guilty saying no
Women with big hearts have a problem with saying no, despite it being a good thing to do, because they don't want to be the kind of people who refuse someone in need. Because they lack common sense to ask questions, they end up getting hurt and depleting their financial resources.
If she loaned money, she feels uncomfortable bringing up repayment because she doesn't want to seem greedy. Meanwhile, the person who borrowed the money has likely moved on already. Her empathy has become a liability.
Some people recognize generosity as a gift, while others recognize it as an opportunity. Once someone learns that guilt can convince someone to give them something, they continue with the same patterns.
4. They stay in one-sided relationships

Women who are good listeners tend to give most of their energy to those in need. When someone is having a bad day, they're there. But when they're having a terrible day, there's nobody there for them.
A woman with a big heart overlooks this, consistently providing emotional support without receiving any in return. But that's not a healthy relationship or friendship. Being someone's unpaid therapist is unfair and wrong.
It's a painful realization a woman like this needs to come to terms with, especially if she leads with compassion and likes to be helpful. She may genuinely enjoy being the person that others can trust, but she makes herself likely to be manipulated.
5. They mistake someone's need for them as genuine love
For women who are compassionate, someone always wants her around. Unfortunately, she interprets that dependence as love. She reasons that if someone needs her this much, they must care deeply.
But toxic people don't love someone because of who they are, they love what that person provides. That could be emotional support or validation, but no matter what it is, it's not real, genuine love or connection.
A woman with a big heart can accidentally confuse being needed with being cherished. Because real love isn't supposed to disappear the moment you stop being useful.
6. They dismiss red flags
Because she's so intent on spreading love and helping others, even if she notices red flags, she doesn't see them as a concern. Someone may lie to her face, but she thinks they're scared of conflict. A person might disrespect her again and again, but she chalks it up to stress.
She's trying to explain the behavior instead of calling it out. It allows her to avoid making a decision or feeling embarrassed. By not admitting the behavior is toxic, she doesn't need to take responsibility.
You can have empathy for someone's struggles and still establish boundaries. Doing that is important, especially for kind women. Some become so focused on understanding other people's behavior that they forget to think about how that behavior affects them personally.
7. They think being a good person means never making anyone feel bad

A woman with a huge heart may believe that being kind means keeping everyone comfortable, so she people-pleases to avoid any awkwardness. She doesn't want to avoid hurting anyone's feelings, even at her own expense.
She feels guilty setting boundaries, but it's all a trap she puts herself in. Boundaries can make people uncomfortable, and she may expect others to call her selfish or ungrateful. However, expecting someone to respect you isn't cruelty.
Sometimes, being a good person requires disappointing someone for your own sake. It doesn't mean you're mean, just that you're careful about what you tolerate. At the end of the day, there's nothing wrong with having a big heart, and the world needs more people like this.
