I want you to be mine... even though we’re long-distance. I don’t regret choosing you, and I never will. You are my girlfriend, and that will never change.
When I fell in love with you, I thought I knew what I was getting myself into, but our reality is far more complicated than my expectations were.
I thought being apart from you wouldn’t be hard, but I was wrong.
Having a long-distance relationship isn’t easy for me right now, but maybe, as we grow and change, it will become easier.
Right now, you live across the country from me. I could hop on a plane and fly from the Atlantic to the Pacific or drive for a few days from the East to the West to see you.
Not being able to see your face every day breaks my heart, but I know we are strong enough to weather the storm.
It’s not easy being in a long-distance relationship with you. I’m not exactly a wealthy man. If I were, I’d travel every month to see you.
But until life brings us closer together in the world, I may only see you twice a year, at the most. So, until we see each other again, we must love each other like we’ve never been apart.
I can’t resist texting you every day, even every few hours, because written words are our most powerful lifeline.
