Make your boyfriend know how special he is to you

The words "I love you" can be said in many different ways in a relationship.
Being in love is sweet. Sometimes, it's sappy and cute.
Even serious people find themselves going out of character by saying cute and romantic things to their boyfriends in their relationships.
There are moments when we want to romance our partner and remind them of how much they mean to us. Sometimes, though, we might not be able to find the right words.
If you feel like you want to say something cute or romantic but can’t come up with anything that doesn’t make you cringe, don't worry!
You can learn how to be romantic and say "I love you" without having to say those exact three words.
Here are 20 cute statements that can let your boyfriend know how important he is to you (which you can also personalize).
1. "I love coming home to you."
Everybody loves being told that they are worthwhile and appreciated.
I remember how I felt when my husband told me how much he loved coming home because he would be seeing me again. It made me feel loved and let me know how good I was for him.
People need to be told how valuable you think they are to you, especially your boyfriend.
2. "I’m so lucky to have you."
Sometimes, even when they're in a relationship, men don’t get a lot of sweet words said to them.
Saying this to him, especially when he hasn’t given you anything, but just for being with you, can be so cute and sweet. Your boyfriend will love hearing it.
3. "You always know what to say to make me smile."
When a man loves you, he always wants to make you laugh or at least smile.
If you tell him that he’s good at making you smile it will make him feel more manly and make him feel that he’s doing a good job for you.
4. "You’re so great at everything, is there something you can’t do?"
Appreciation is one of the greatest motivators for men.
When you give your boyfriend the space to do things for you and then let him know you notice how good he is at doing many different things, you will gain yourself a lifetime fan.
5. "You’re so cute when you..."
You need to become observant to see men doing things. Most of the time, they don’t take credit or shout look at me I am doing this for you especially when they care about you a lot.
One of the things I found to be cute was when my boyfriend took the time to play with my friend’s toddlers. I thought it was so cute and when I told him, he was smiling all night.
6. "Hey there, handsome."
Imagine if you answer his call or walk into a room and say that to him. It will make him know you like his physical appearance and who doesn’t want that?
We all want to think we have attractive bodies and getting that confirmed is good for our egos, right. For some men, you might be the first person to ever say that to him.
7. "I miss your cute smile."
Your boyfriend will love hearing that you notice his smile and you think it’s cute too.
It will just fill him up with warm fuzzy feelings. Everybody likes to have warm fuzzy feelings, right?
8. "I feel so safe in your arms."
Men love having the role of protector. It feeds their instinctive nature. Protecting of females is something men are born with.
I remember my brothers, who were 12 and 14 years younger than me, telling me that they would fight my boyfriend if he didn’t treat me right. I thought that was so cute and I realized that this need to protect was not taught to them.
When you tell him that you feel safe, which means you feel his protection in his arms, will make him feel powerful. A man who feels powerful is very sexy.
9. "I love you."
Use this one wisely. If you have said the three little words to each other before, then the best time to say it is when he’s not expecting you to.
You could mouth them to him in a room full of people and he’s not standing next to you. You’re creating a special moment just for the two of you and you’re making him feel special.
If you have been together for a long time, you might not have said those words to him in a long time and I can assure you he will welcome hearing them from you again.
If you love him, then you should tell him as many times as you can.
10. "You’re so handsome/hot/sexy."
Who doesn’t want to be told that they are hot or handsome? We all want to think that our appearances are attracting the people around us.
Telling him he’s handsome will make him feel great and sexy and might even get you a bonus.
11. "I love it when you…"
Use this one especially when it’s for something he values doing.
I used to tell my husband, "I love it when you hoover the house. It makes me feel so special."
In turn, he would regularly tell me he loved it when I cooked for the family. It is just telling him that you appreciate his input.
12. "I was having a bad day but when I thought of you, suddenly my world lit up."
It is great for a man to hear that he can make your life easier just by being him. He would want to spend a lot of time with you in order to feel so special.
The best thing about it is he would pay you back in ways you will enjoy.
13. "Only you can make me feel so happy."
Even though this one is so cheesy it can make him feel so great.
If you say this at the end of a fun date, it won’t be long before he arranges another fun day or night out.
14. "I’ll do anything to make you smile."
He will take this statement to mean that you care about his happiness.
You don’t want to see him upset. You’re invested in his happiness as much as he is invested in yours.
15. "You know exactly how to turn me on."
Most men like to think they are great at sex. They need a lot of feedback to know if they are doing it right.
When you validate his bedroom skills by telling him he knows your body that well, he will be yours forever.
16. "I need you."
I thought it was good not to need a man for anything. But, when I told him that I needed him, it’s like I had given him a new purpose in life.
Teach yourself to create areas in your life where you need your man and allow him to shine for you. You will be delighted that you did. This is especially true for accomplished, professional women because the gifts of opening up to receive are unimaginable.
17. "Help me."
The most action provoking words for a man. Women need to learn to say these words to men everywhere. From dads to uncles, brothers to boyfriends.
If you just say "Help me", they will start running before they are even sure what it is you need them to do.
Tip: if you find a man who is slow to get into action, (wash the dishes, take the trash out, etc.) this is the starter to get him into gear.
18. "Thank you for choosing me."
I am borrowing this one from my late husband. I still remember the first time he said that to me. I was so touched and humbled and we made it a mantra for our marriage.
That statement helped us not to take each other for granted which can happen when you have been together for a time. Sharing your life with someone is a daily choice.
19. "I don’t ever want to stop loving you."
Saying this is a promise of some sort. It shows your affection and vulnerability at the same time.
Your boyfriend would love to see you get vulnerable sometimes. Saying this to him will make him see you’re willing to be vulnerable to him.
20. "If I could be with you every time, I think about you, I would be with you all the time."
I am borrowing this from my late husband again. This was one of the last text messages he sent me and I really loved it. I still remember it over 10 years later because it made me smile at a time when everything around us seemed desolate.
Use it to let someone know you care about him deeply.
So, there you have it. Falling in love stirs a lot of romantic notions inside us and we all want to be in healthy relationships.
You can use these statements sparingly but they can last you a long time.
Make sure you’re genuine because, sometimes, you may move from cute to manipulative if you’re not careful. Your boyfriend will know how special he is to you when you share these statements with him.
