About Dr. Wendy Lyon

Hello, my name is Dr. Wendy Lyon and I am committed to helping people create lives they love, filled with the love they want!  I am an author, psychologist, master certified relationship and life coach, mentor for the Relationship Coaching Institute, workshop facilitator, and speaker with nearly 20 years of experience (prior to that I was a college psychology professor).  As a relationship expert, I’ve been interviewed for newspapers, magazines, radio, on-line and television programs (including ABC TV’s View from the Bay).

My recent book, Roadmap to Success, co-written with Deepak Chopra and Ken Blanchard, outlines my Roadmap to Relationship Success, vital for anyone interested in healthy relationships.  This book provides excellent, expert advice on how to achieve success in life, work, health, love and more.  Visit my website for free articles, webinars, radio shows, workshops and more.

Through my individual and couples coaching, and group courses, I have helped hundreds of people transform their lives, create loving relationships and replace their fears with clarity, confidence, joy and love.  I am dedicated to guiding singles and couples, every step of the way on their path to true love.

If you have a telephone and speak English, we can work together.  For a limited time, I am offering complimentary True Love Path consultations on the telephone and I look forward to hearing from you!

My credentials include a doctorate and master’s degree in Psychology/Social Ecology from the University of California, Irvine, and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (Magna Cum Laude).  My research and teaching emphasized relationships, gender, work and family issues.  As a college psychology professor in Asheville, NC, I taught a wide range of courses that included Human Development (from conception to death), Social Psychology, The Family etc.

While in North Carolina, I became a licensed facilitator of the international self-development seminar, The Avatar Course, which I taught for over a decade, helping people shift their beliefs and create what they desire.  When I returned to California in 1999, I was still single, and definitely ready for love that lasts.  I took every course offered by the Relationship Coaching Institute and became a Master Certified Relationship Coach.  I also received extensive and comprehensive training with the Coaches Training Institute and the Career Crafting Program.  In my work with individuals, couples and groups, I draw from my diverse background to provide a unique approach that invigorates and transforms lives.  My true love path really does lead people to fulfilling lives and lasting love!

Following my own true love path led me to my fabulous husband Steve, who I married in 2005.  We were both clear about what we were looking for and were delighted to find each other.  Our relationship has been supportive and easy, even as while raising our young son and facing a few health challenges.  It can be difficult to care for our child and keep our sanity, careers and love alive, but we have learned how to navigate and keep true love in our lives as a couple and family.

Travel is an important part of my life and I have visited over 30 countries and led several educational expeditions around the globe. Stay tuned for upcoming retreats combining personal transformation and adventure travel.

When I’m home in the San Francisco Bay Area, I enjoy wilderness hiking, bike riding, yoga, music and spending time with family and friends.
In my work, I feel grateful to be able to help people transform their lives and relationships.  I’m eager to support you on your path, so you can have the love and life you desire!
