Love is Blind took the world by storm when it officially premiered this year on Netflix.

The show serves as a love experiment where couples don’t see each other until they are engaged and can only talk to one another in specially designed pods where they can only hear each other’s voices.

Love is Blind starts off with 15 single women and 15 single men. In total, there were eight couples, but two of them aren’t included in the final edit of the show.

A reality show dealing with love can’t run its course without its fair share of drama.

Throughout the season, we see the happy and sad tears, dramatic arguments, disagreements, a love triangle, and harsh breakups.

But what's happened in their relationships since the show aired in February 2020?

Here’s an update on the Love is Blind couples today.

Some of the couples survived the roller coaster of a relationship inside of a fishbowl environment, while others cracked under the pressure.

Jessica Batten and Mark Cuevas

Throughout the season, viewers see Mark feel so confident and sure about his match up with Jessica. But with Mark’s confidence came Jessica’s constant doubt and questioning.

Jessica caught feelings for another contestant in the pods, Matt Barnett, but that didn’t pan out as Barnett chose another woman. Unfortunately, Jessica’s “situationship” with Barnett appeared to be a constant cloud over her relationship with Mark.

Another thing that Jessica struggled with was the 10-year age difference between she and Mark.

Though they got engaged, Jessica ultimately succumbed to her doubts and said no at the altar and the couple has moved on to other relationships.

In July 2020, Jessica posted photos on Instagram of her and her new boyfriend.

Mark also moved on, but has reportedly been embroiled in some drama even off-camera.

It was reported that Mark went on to date Love is Blind cast-mate Lauren 'LC' Chamblin after filming. However, in June 2020 rumors claimed he was cheating on Lauren.

“I enjoyed spending time with LC for a few weeks, but at no point were we in an exclusive relationship, as LC confirmed herself,” Mark told Us Weekly.

He's since made his new relationship Instagram official.

Amber Pike and Matt Barnett

I mentioned Barnett before as he was the man of Jessica’s affections. He was caught up between two women — Jessica and Amber — and he eventually chose Amber over Jessica. The love triangle carried over into the couples’ retreat to Mexico where all of the couples saw each other for the first time.

While viewers see Barnett have doubts on the wedding day, they both ultimately said: “I Do.”

The couple is still together but revealed on the reunion episode that they almost broke up. They had different ideas of marriage was supposed to be. They also had troubles adjusting to marriage life from their bachelor lifestyles.

Amber and Barnett explained that they worked through their troubles by not forcing their expectations onto one another.

Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton

These two were the first couple to be engaged. They celebrated their first anniversary back in 2019 in Mexico.

They became such a fan favorite of the show that fans began demanding a spinoff.

For right now, they have a YouTube channel called “Hangin’ w/ the Hamiltons.”

Giannina Gibelli and Damian Powers

Giannina, or Gigi as she came to be known, and Damian had a volatile relationship throughout the season. They had several arguments when they arrived at the couples’ retreat in Mexico.

When the wedding ceremony came around, Damian said no, stating Gigi’s rollercoaster of feelings for the cause.

The breakup didn’t last long as Gigi demanded an answer from Damian about why he said no only a few hours later.

The couple has since gotten back together, which they confirmed during the reunion special.

Kelly Chase and Kenny Barnes

Despite seeming like one of the most stable couples of the season, Kelly and Kenny's relationship was a bit complex.

Even though on the show we see Kenny say yes on their wedding day, it's revealed that they had agreed to not get married way before the ceremony. The decision to not get married was mutual and not one-sided.

They both have moved on as Kenny moved to North Carolina and is in a new relationship, announcing his engagement in August 2020.

As of right now, Kelly is single and still looking for love.

Kelly and Kenny explained on the reunion special that they viewed Love is Blind as just an experiment. Kenny describes that worked for him in regards to his personal development.

Carlton Morton and Diamond Jack

This relationship ended tragically and in a volatile fashion. They didn’t make it past the couples’ retreat in Mexico.

During the retreat, Carlton reveals that he’s bisexual and that he’s had past relationships with men. The next day when Diamond tried to ask questions to get a better understanding, the conversation resulted in a volatile blowup.

During the reunion, Carlton had got down on one knee and proposed “friendship” to Diamond. He even apologized for his actions in Mexico.

However, it appears that even after the reunion, these two aren’t on talking terms. Diamond also reportedly blocked Carlton on Instagram

Diamond explained that she didn’t break off the engagement because Carlton was bisexual. It was the fact that he felt defensive when she attempted to ask questions to gain a better understanding.

Westley Baer and Lexie Skipper

They are one of the couples that weren’t included in the final edit of the show, so you may not recorgnize their names. Westley is the one that proclaimed, “I’m short, and there are women out there that won’t date guys that are shorter.”

Westley tells People that he had always wanted to have a big Christmas, so to find his pod plastered with Christmas decorations he knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Lexie.

The couple didn’t make it to Mexico as the production team couldn’t cover up to eight weddings.

The couple went home to Atlanta and got to know each other better. Eventually, the couple broke up, though they remain friends to this day.

Rory Newbrough and Danielle Drouin

This couple didn’t make it to the couples’ retreat in Mexico, either. The only time that viewers really see Rory is when he played the role of a therapist to his fellow contestants.

In a Reddit AMA, Rory explained that he and Danielle connected on their love of animals, Christmas, and hosting parties. They also cooked dishes for one another and sent it to the other’s pod.

When they were told that they were cut from the couples’ retreat to Mexico, they decided to go to Miami instead. They spent some time together for about a week and returned to Atlanta.

Once they got back to Atlanta, Danielle realized she still had feelings for another contestant. They broke up so that Danielle could pursue those feelings. Rory states that the break up was amicable and they remain friends.
