How can you not love Paris Hilton? She does it all. Paris is a businesswoman, socialite, model, singer, actress, fashion designer, DJ, and media personality.
Paris Hilton's almost always been famous (being great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton — founder of Hilton Hotels), but a time that really shot her into the limelight — whether or not she wanted the attention — was in 2003, when a private recording of her then-boyfriend Rick Salomon leaded.
The sex tape was later branded 1 Night in Paris, but instead of shying away from the spotlight, she used that newfound fame to help launch her reality television career with friend Nicole Richie by bringing "The Simple Life" series to FOX.
"The Simple Life" followed two rich girls, Richie and Hilton, leave their money behind to go stay with a family on a farm for five weeks. They had to get jobs, do chores, and try to live a normal life, which was surprisingly hilarious to watch because they didn't know how to do any of those things.
Paris is also a fashion icon. In the early 2000s, the paparrazi often snapped pictures of her rocking a juicy couture tracksuit paired with a bedazzled Von Dutch hat. Although she owns a lot of clothes, her assistant at the time, Kim Kardashian, would organize her closet for her. However, Paris gave back to Kim by teaching her the ropes on how to become famous — and she is one of the reasons Kim Kardashian is so famous today.
Aside from working closely with Kim, Paris often got photographed partying out with her friends, Britney Spears and Lindsey Lohan.
In 2005, Paris secured a role in the horror film House of Wax. A year later, she released her first album, Paris, and it reached number six on the Billboard 200. In 2008, Paris came back to reality television with her own show called "Paris Hilton’s My New BFF", which was a competition show where she searched for her new best friend. Soon after, she came out with two more reality shows, "The World According to Paris" and "Hollywood Love Story", both only airing for one season.
In 2012, Paris Hilton became a DJ at Brazil’s Pop Music Festival. From 2013 to 2017, Paris had a residency at the Amnesia Nightclub in Ibiza, and she was the highest-paid female DJ in 2014. Most recently, she appeared in the Netflix documentary, "American Meme".
