1. Younger brother

Culkin, while less famous than his older brother Macauley, has been working steadily as an actor for many years. He and all six of his siblings performed at different points in their lives, starting when they were children. He told Vanity Fair: “My parents’ friends were running a little theater, the Light Opera of Manhattan, and whenever a production needed a kid, they were like, ‘What age and what gender? We’ve got seven of them right over here.’” Culkin never received any formal acting training but just kept at it and wound up working on large and small Hollywood projects. He actually appeared in his brother’s smash hit Home Alone, playing Kevin McAllister’s cousin Fuller. His most famous role was in Igby Goes Down in 2002. He’s currently starring in the HBO drama Succession.

2. Years alone

Though Culkin dated Emma Stone for a while, he was never seriously linked to anyone romantically. He told iNews Britain that he spent years living alone with just his pet cat Leo for company. After years of living in a cramped apartment with his many siblings and domineering father, followed by sharing flats with roommates, he enjoyed the solitude.

The couple met in a New York bar in 2012. Culkin saw Charton and thought she was beautiful but there was a catch: she was there with another man. He didn’t let that discourage him, however. He told iNew Britain that: “I asked if he was her boyfriend and when she said no, I asked if I could be her boyfriend. We’ve been together ever since.” The pair married in 2013. He explains his intense feelings for her, saying “When someone is as beautiful as my wife, you just want to be close to that.”

4. Jazz

Charton is a former model, doesn’t have a major social media — or traditional media — footprint. Her Instagram feed features many photos of the couple’s two cats and cute candid shots of the two of them. She even acknowledges that she avoids red carpets, but she is clearly supportive of her husband’s career and excited over his success. On the day Culkin was nominated for a Golden Globe, she posted the news with the caption “I’M CRYING!!!!!! My baby is nominated for a Golden Globe!!!!! #succession #hbo”

5. Maybe baby?

As for kids, neither of them was racing to the maternity ward. Culkin told iNew Britain: “It just seems like a lot to take on. I suppose if she gets pregnant, that would be fine but it’s really not on our horizon.” But he did acknowledge that he grew up in a large family and so did his mother, and noted that it was odd that so far, none of the youngest generation of Culkins had had children of their own, saying: “Not one of us [siblings] have started our own family. My mother is one of 11 kids and she had seven kids and she has no grandchildren, so think about that?”

6. Surprise

Culkin’s musings about an unplanned pregnancy may have been foreshadowing how real life would go because Jazz Charton took to Instagram to announce her pregnancy that seemed to have come as a welcome shock to her. Her caption under a sonogram photo said: "My favorite surprise so far. We had no idea how much we wanted this until it happened.” As for how far along the model is, she hinted at a possible conception date being the night of the Golden Globes, saying: “We’re excited/terrified/ecstatic/unprepared but we cannot wait to meet our little unexpected creation in September. #theglobeswerefun #koalatummy" They attended the awards show last fall after Culkin was nominated for his role in HBO’s drama Succession.

7. Baby's here!

On Sept 18th, Jazz announced the birth of Kinsey Sioux AKA Zissou with the following Instagram caption: "And just like that our little Kinsey Sioux (‘Zissou’) is home. After 25 hours of laboring at home, we arrived at the hospital too late for any pain meds as I was already dilated and ready to push (if I ever do this again I want ALL THE DRUGS, all of them!) and she was out within the hour during a full moon on Friday the 13th. Of course our daughter was born on Friday the 13th. This is me 4 days postpartum - I live in sexy surgical mesh underwear that’s keeping a world of pain in check, my boobs are engorged, I burst blood vessels In my face from pushing, my big pregnant belly that I loved so much deflated to a mere paunch but it’s all so worth it. I’ve never been more in love and we’ve never felt more complete."
