Social media has a lot of detractors and many of us can make the argument that it really isn't that great for society — unless there's a celebrity feud, then social media is the absolute best. (Well, also when Kanye West has a meltdown on Twitter, that's also a train wreck that we can't look away from.) Currently, rapper 50 Cent has been feuding with producer Randall Emmett and his fiancé, Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent. Wait, what? This seems like a pretty unlikely trio to be involved in a feud, but things got super-heated quickly. The 43-year-old rapper took to Instagram to accuse 48-year-old Emmett of owing him money and then his 29-year-old girlfriend threw herself into the fray when she tried to defend Emmett. There's a lot to unpack here, folks. All the new details in the 50 Cent, Randall Emmett and Lala Kent feud:

1. The origin of the feud

Fiddy took to Instagram to share a clip of a scene from Vanderpump Rules in which Lala had a very NSFW chat about her relationship with Randall Emmett. (As a backstory, Emmett co-produced Power with 50 Cent.) In the clip, Lala said that Randall sent her a Range Rover the morning after the first time they had sex. She also said that they role-played as a Hollywood executive and a woman who would do anything for a part in a movie. She said: “I let him hit it the first time and we were inseparable. He would just send me, like, really expensive gifts. The first night we banged, I got a car the next day. He was like, ‘Do you want a Range Rover?’” 50 accused Randall of role-playing the #MeToo movement. Lala took to the comments to defend her boyfriend. She said she is a thug from Queens and that someone has forgotten where they come from ."Coming for me on the gram!? I smell fish coming from fifty’s direction,” she wrote.

2. What happened next?

Lala Kent opened a hornet's nest when she went after 50 Cent. (Which should surprise absolutely no one.) The rapper posted a text message conversation with Randall and claimed the producer owed him a million dollars. Allegedly, 50 Cent loaned Emmett that money. He gave Emmett until Monday, April 29th to pay up. The photo of the text message made it seem like Randall texted, "I'm sorry again, I really am. I said I'm sorry Fofty (sic)." Randall went on to say he was heading to the emergency room to make sure the stress of their public feud wasn't making him have a heart attack.

3. The selfie incident

50 Cent was not going to back down. He then posted a selfie Randall Emmett took with him at a red carpet event and wrote: “Look at this fool taking selfies, you better get me my money fool.” Next, 50 posted a photo of Randall in what looked like a doctor's office.  “Your [sic] not gonna die before Monday @randallemmettfilms go ahead knock your self out. LOL."
