This comes just two months after Foxx announced that he was single at an Oscars Charity Gala he attended in February.But as of late, it doesn't seem as if his statement is still true. Are Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes back together?
Foxx first began dating Holmes in 2013, but their relationship was kept a secret until March 2015. The news broke when US Weekly captured an exclusive photo of the pair sitting down holding hands with their feet intertwined. Foxx had been a good friend of Holmes since 2006 and was around when she was married to Tom Cruise with whom she shares her 13-year-old daughter Suri Cruise. According to People, a source told them that the relationship between the two wasn’t serious.
"This is not some intense romance,” the source said. “Jamie and Katie are friends and have been for a long time. They are two adults who are attractive and single, and so apparently conclusions will be drawn…But contrary to those conclusions, they’re not about to run off and make some serious commitment.”
But the pair have still managed to maintain a close and secretive relationship for the past six years.

1. Their relationship timeline is extensive
Foxx and Holmes first started dating in August 2013, about a year after she split with her ex-husband Tom Cruise. Fast forward two years to March 2015, which is when their relationship was unoficially confirmed by US after the magazine released exclusive photos of the couple sitting down holding hands with their feet touching. Then the pair was not seen again until December 2015 at Foxx's birthday bash. Two years later in 2017, the couple was spotted out together again. According to MarieClaire, a source told US in May 2017 that the pair had been spending more time together. "They’re going to go out to dinner more often," the source said. "They plan to start going public." In September 2017, the pair was spotted holding hands as they walked along the beach in Malibu. December 2018 was the last time they were spotted. Pictures of the pair were captured as they enjoyed their New Year's Eve weekend getaway.

2. They have managed to keep their relationship on the DL
There have been very few instances where the pair has actually been spotted out together. According to DailyBeast, this is has to due with Holmes’ divorce from Tom Cruise in 2012. As part of the settlement Holmes agreed to not publicly date anyone until five years after her marriage had ended. A source shared details about the settlement with the DailyBeast.
“She’s allowed to date, but she cannot do so in a public fashion, and she’s not supposed to let any boyfriend near their daughter, Suri,” the insider told Radar. “Katie wanted out of the marriage so badly, she agreed to the terms—and got $4.8 million in child support, plus another $5 million for herself.”
Holmes could have lost that money if she was spotted with another man. Therefore it makes since that even though Foxx and Holmes clearly had chemistry, that they would deny their relationship whenever confronted. It was even claimed that Holmes went so far as to disguise herself when meeting up with Foxx. In 2016 there was even a moment where it was suspected that the pair was engaged when Holmes was seen wearing a ring on her finger. The rumors were quickly denied by both Foxx and Holmes.
3. They are both parents
More than just having undeniable chemistry, Foxx and Holmes both have children. Holmes is the mother of daughter Suri, whom she had with Tom Cruise. Foxx is the father of two daughters, Corinne Fox and Annalise Bishop. Foxx was recently a hot topic after being seen out with Annalise’s mother Kristin Grannis. According to her father, Grannis still meets with Foxx often for private dinners and she is financially dependent upon him.

In February there were rumors circling that the couple had broken up due to Foxx stating that he was single at the Oscar Charity Gala. A source told In Touch that "it was very nonchalant." “Jamie was on stage performing with a large line of women. While he was referring to married and single couples, he dropped the line, ‘I’m single,'" the source recalled. The pair hadn’t been spotted together since their trip to Miami, so it was hard to tell what the status of their relationship was.

5. The pair has been spotted together recently
Holmes and Foxx have been spending a lot of time together in public lately. In March, the pair was seen taking a stroll near Central Park in NYC. According to People, they were also spotted holding hands after a dinner date with Foxx’s daughter Corinne. This past Tuesday the pair was once again seen holding hands in public in NYC. It might be safe to say that they are back together or never separated at all.
