Our mother’s play a critical role in our lives as women. They teach us how to have confidence and believe in ourselves when no one else will. These lessons become especially important later in life when women start to date.
It helps them know how they deserve to be treated and makes it easy to let go of people who don’t meet their expectations. That is why when women finally find someone who they are serious about they are eager to take them home to get approval from their mother.
But things can get sticky when mom doesn’t get along with your partner the way you thought she would. She wants what is best for you so sometimes she can’t help but to have her own criteria for your boyfriend. These criteria usually spring from her own experiences with love and dating.
She knows what she won’t tolerate, and she won’t tolerate the same behaviors from your boyfriend. A good way to gain insight into why she feels the way she does is by looking at her horoscope sign. Her sign can tell you all the things she dislikes about people and all the things she dislikes about men in relationships.
For some mothers their astrology sign makes them weary of men who can’t openly communicate. So, if your boyfriend doesn’t seem to have clear intentions then she may have a hard time getting along with him. For others they don’t like men who doesn’t come from the same background as you.
Because of this he may not be able to fulfill her basic expectations of upbringing and values which will make her turned off by him. In a perfect world two of the most important people in our lives would get along, but clearly this isn't always the case.

ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries take a direct and honest approach when communicating with others. That is why when your boyfriend doesn't answer her questions truthfully and genuinely she believes you should cut him off. She doesn't get along with anyone whose intentions are unclear and her mindset won't change for your boyfriend.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
A Taurus believes that you should date someone who comes from the same social background as you. She won't get along with your boyfriend because he doesn't meet her basic expectations of tradition, values and upbringing. She also believes that he may have rushed you into a relationship which took away your choice to focus on yourself.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Gemini's don't believe in being tied down. Your mom thinks that you being in a committed relationship will make you unhappy, which is why she doesn't get along with your boyfriend. She would much rather you spend time with different lovers so that you can be sure that you've found the right guy when you are really ready to settle down.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Family matters are important to your mother, which is why as a Caner she has a hard time controlling her motherly instincts. She doesn't like strangers which is why she doesn't get along with your boyfriend. She cares about protecting you from anything evil, and has a hard time trusting that he won't find a way to hurt you.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leos believe in putting themselves first so that they may focus on their careers and achieving their life goals. This is what you mom wants for you. She doesn't get along with you boyfriend because he distracts you. You focus to heavily on his needs and rules causing you to compromise more than she'd like. Because of this she views him as being disrespectful and lacking respect for your goals and dreams.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
As a Virgo your mom has a set list of rules your boyfriend should follow. One of these rules is to never be aggressive or pushy with you. Aside from the fact that she finds a problem with anyone you bring home, she doesn't get along with your boyfriend because she can't get a good read on his character to make sure he is emotionally sound for you.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras think it is important to set clear boundaries when in a relationship. That is why your mother struggles to get along with you boyfriend. While she wants him to protect you she also doesn't like that it lessens your pride in being a strong and independent woman. She can't tell if he is serious about you and there is nothing she dislikes more than unclear emotions.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios are disrusting and suspicous by nature, which is why your mother had to do extensive research on your boyfriend. She found that she doesn't get along with him because of his attitude. Your mother has always been a clear comminicator who dislikes dishonesty, so she has a hard time adapting to your boyfriend's human behaviors. Earning her trust will take a lot of patience, and if he let's her down there will be no turning back.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
As a Sagittarius your mother dislikes people who are clingy and lack free spirit. Your boyfriend is too safe for her which is why she doesn't get along with him. She believes that this will make your relationship difficult because you should be growing and exploring the world every chance you get. If it were up to her she would have you walk away now before he started to think you needed to change to fit his personality.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorn's can be strict when it comes down to their kids. Your mother wants what is best for you but understands that you have to make your own choices. However, she has a hard time accepting people who are too differnt from her character, which is why she doesn't get along with your boyfriend. He asks her too many intimate questions and doesn't know how to respect her boundaries. She doesn't like this.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius have strong views which make their expectation of others very high. Your mother expected that your boyfriend would be creative, intellectual and honest. Vecause he doesn't liv up to those expectations she has a hard time getting along with him. She would prefer for you to be with someone who is going to mentally stimulate you and with whom she can have interesting conversation with.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces are the most tolerant of the zodiac sign, but there are still a few things they don't like. As a Pisces communication is important to your mother, so she doesn't get along with your boyfriend because he isn't as open as she'd like him to be. She'd also prefer that he gave more vigor to your relatonship and loosened up a bit.
