Season nine of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills wastes no time introducing the drama. During the time between season eight and nine, the drama began to build between gal pals Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards. But it all came to a head in the first few moments of the premiere of season nine which aired on Feb. 12, 2019.

Kyle Richards, whose friendship with LVP seems to be falling apart the most onscreen, said she wasn't surprised by Lisa's surprise appearance at the party. She also confirmed that, as we've seen in the season trailer and the dramatic opening scene of last night's premiere, Kyle and LVP are not doing so great.

"I mean, not really," Richards said. "I mean she's missed some things, yes, but it is the premiere, and she's on the show, so she should be here. [Our friendhsip] is not in a good place right now, so it's obviously sad, but the audience will see it unfold and hopefully one day we can fix things," she said. "I've seen crazier things happen."

As for Kyle, she did an interview last fall in which she teased what fans of the RHOBH can expect on the upcoming season.

“It’s been a really outrageous season, from, like, literally the get-go. Usually, it’s like catching up, it picks up — this was like, ‘Bam,’ out of the gate,” Kyle told Us Weekly in October. “I don’t even know, we’ve never had a season like this before. It’s been a very wild and crazy ride so far. You never know what’s going to happen next around here.”

So what happened? We have all the details about the Lisa Vanderpump/Kyle Richards feud on RHOBH here.

1. The opening scene of Season 9 started with drama.

The opening scene begins with Vanderpump asking Richards, “No, no, no, who said that? Say it.” As we see the camera pan over Vanderpumps house, Villa Rosa, Lisa can be heard saying: “Kyle, I’ve done nothing wrong. I swear on my children’s life.”

“If I did something wrong, that doesn’t mean you wouldn’t love me,” Richards said. Ken Todd then chimes in, saying: “She would never say that about you.”

Richards then says, “Maybe you care more about your image than your friendships.”

Vanderpump wasn’t having any of it, and then told Richards to “get the f—k out of my house.”

Fans will have to put the pieces together throughout the season to figure out exactly what set these two women off. We can assume the fight will be shown as the episodes air. But looking back, there are some clues and rumors as to what happened.

A source told In Touch Weekly back in November that “they were talking about all the nasty things they’ve said about each other and Lisa just snapped and told Kyle to get out of her house.” Lisa’s cut Kyle completely off and “they may never speak again,” the insider added.

2. The pair haven't spoken since that fight.

According to Kyle, she and Lisa have not spoken since this argument.

“The last time I spoke with Lisa or Ken was when I was at their house and we were going to have a talk, and then it ended up being a disaster,” she told Andy Cohen during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live. “When you’re kicked out of someone’s house … it was really strange for me because I’m so close with them.”

Kyle has tried to reach out since.

3. There have been rumors that Vanderpump won't return to RHOBH after this season.

Rumors have been swirling that the Vanderpump matriarch won't be back on RHOBH after season nine, but no one is confirming or denying anything. All they can say is that we’ll have to watch season nine to see what happens and how all of the juicy drama plays out. But Vanderpump was at the show’s premiere party.

"Why was everybody not expecting me?" Lisa asked E! News' Will Marfuggi. "It's my 330th episode I think of reality television. I've never missed anything until now, and that's the way it should continue."

After acknowledging that this season looked like it was a difficult one for Vanderpump to get through, Marfuggi asked if there's any chance she'll want to do another season.

"Oh, I don't know yet. They haven't picked it up; I don't know who the cast is, I don't know what I'm doing," she said. "I mean, at some point, I'm going to have to walk away. I just don't know whether it's now or not."

4. Vanderpump is acting like a diva.

Back in September, Lisa Rinna shared a video on Instagram Live in which she revealed one of her co-stars was refusing to come out of their dressing room during a cast photo shoot.

“We’re here shooting, the whole cast is here,” Rinna began in her now-deleted video she shared on Sept. 17, 2018.

“Rumor has it that one of the cast members won’t shoot with us. They won’t do a group shot with us so we are sequestered in a room. But somebody is holding out and won’t come out and shoot with us,” she continued with Erika Jayne at her side. “Can you imagine? Who is that? Like, we are all doing a group shot together and someone is sequestered in a room. She won’t come shoot with us. They are going to have to like put her in… in like a, you know, computer-like way.”

“Who could it be?” she added. Sounds as though it was Lisa Vanderpump.

5. Lisa lied about something.

Apparently, Richards and her co-stars caught Vanderpump in a lie and feel she doesn’t want to face them and be confronted about the situation. So, Vanderpump has reportedly been keeping her distance, which has only led to an even bigger divide between her and the rest of the cast.

Fans of the show also took note that none of the RHOBH ladies wished Vanderpump a "Happy 58th Birthday" in September 2018.

6. Vanderpump is struggling with grief.

Lisa has been struggling with grief since her brother died by suicide a few months previously. Perhaps she was upset with Richards for not being there to support her through this difficult time? It wouldn’t be the first time she has accused her of not being there for her as a best friend should.

The animal lover said the RHOBH cast did not attend her third annual Vanderpump Dogs Foundation gala last November. Richards has always been a big supporter, and Dorit Kemsley has also attended. But not this year.

“I wasn’t in a great place with them so the fact that they didn’t come was disappointing but the fact is it hasn’t been great the last couple of months,” Vanderpump said, confirming the tensions between her and the rest of her co-stars.

7. Richards got close with another RHOBH castmate.

While things may be strained between Vanderpump and the rest of the cast, Richards said things between her and Teddi Mellencamp, who joined the show during season eight, have been going great.

“Teddi and I have become very close. … I just adore her, and I’m so happy to have her to be a part of the show,” Kyle gushed. “We have a lot in common. We have fun together. It just feels really good to have.”

Perhaps Vanderpump is jealous of the fact that they have become so close?

8. Vanderpump has feuded with other castmates.

Last September, Vanderpump and Dorit Kemsley were also feuding. Dorit adopted a puppy from Vanderpump’s rescue center, but the pup reportedly “nipped” at her children. Kemsley didn’t tell her or return the dog back to Vanderpump Dogs and ended up dropping it off at another shelter. But Vanderpump ended up finding out because the pup was microchipped.

Kemsley’s offered “really no explanation” about why she chose to give the dog away and not return it to Vanderpump, or at least notify her about it.

Following their feud, Vanderpump skipped out on a number of group events, including Camille Grammer‘s wedding, Erika Jayne‘s tour stop in Los Angeles, and a group road trip with new cast member Denise Richards which likely pissed them all off as well.

9. Vanderpump doesn’t like Denise Richards.

According to reports, Lisa was not happy to have Denise Richards join the cast, and they are already butting heads.

“Lisa is fuming over Denise joining the cast and the two of them are definitely going to be going at it,” a source close to Vanderpump told Radar Online. “She feels like Denise is trying to dethrone her and really just thinks that Denise is an entitled b---h!”

It could be the fact that Charlie Sheen’s ex signed a $4 million contract perhaps? It is not only Vanderpump that is fuming over Richard’s arrival, as co-star Erika Jayne flipped out over Richard’s outrageous salary.
