Who Is Demi Burnett? Details About The 'Bachelor' Contestant Seen With Paulie Calafiore
The drama surrounding the reality star continues — with another upcoming reality star.
instagram Paulie Calafiore seems to be entering 2019 with his same antics from 2018. Despite claiming to want his ex-girlfriend Cara Maria Sorbello from MTV's The Challenge back, Calafiore was most recently seen with a "mystery" blonde who's since been identified as Demi Burnett.
But who is Demi Burnett?
Let's take it back a bit.
In June 2018, Calafiore, who most recently starred in The Challenge: Final Reckoning, admitted to cheating on then-girlfriend Danielle Maltby with The Challenge co-star Cara Maria Sorbello. The two broke up shortly after, and Calafiore’s relationship with Sorbello heated up.
All appeared fine until Maltby, an alumna of The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise, made a post on Instagram late in December about how the breakup has affected her. She revealed that Calafiore had been reaching out to her consistently ever since they split.
Although Sorbello and Calafiore were in an “open relationship,” Calafiore reportedly lied about how much he was seeing and talking to Maltby.
“If we really were in an open relationship,” Sorbello told People on December 28, “why go to such great lengths to lie?”
Sorbello and Calafiore have since broken up. Calafiore seems less than thrilled to have lost two women in his life. On Christmas, he tweeted about how “assailants can sometimes disguise themselves as victims.”
On Decemeber 27, he tweeted about his love for Sorbello, and that he’d be taking a hiatus from Twitter.
However, on Dec. 31, Calafiore seemingly threw shade when he tweeted a video of himself listening to a certain line from “I Love It” by Kanye West and Little Pump. Some responses to the tweet asked him which ex his tweet was directed to.
The Big Brother alum, however, may be turning a new leaf in 2019. That is, he may be starting the new year with another woman. Calafiore was seen in New York City on January 2 driving a flashy red car—with a mystery woman in the passenger seat.
The woman was identified as Demi Burnett. While there is much to be seen with this potential relationship, Burnett won’t be leaving our lives anytime soon.
1. She is a 23-year-old Texas native.
Burnett’s Instagram bio reveals she is from Dallas. She is a young interior designer, though she also has a modeling and acting profile.
Reality TV World also found she grew up in rural Texas and is a country girl. She likes ATVing and fishing.
2. She’s on the new season of The Bachelor.
Like Calafiore’s ex Maltby, Demi Burnett will be on Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor, which premieres January 7, 2019 at 8 p.m ET/PT. The season 23 opener will be a three-hour special.
Burnett will join 29 other women vying for this season’s bachelor, Colton Underwood. Underwood, a former professional football player, is also an alum of The Bachelorette.
3. She is said to be the “villain” on the show.
Even before the cast list was released, Burnett was a stand-out in the teaser trailer for season 23. In the trailer, she seems to try to push not only Underwood’s buttons (“I haven’t dated a virgin since I was 12”), but also the other contestants’, as she’s seen having a spat with another woman.
4. Court papers show she has been evicted two times.
Aside from what we’ve seen leading up to the season premiere, Burnett has been exposed for having some serious real-life drama.
Radar Online discovered that Burnett was evicted from two apartments in 2015. Not only was she evicted for not paying rent in both cases, but she did not show up to either court case for the evictions.
As of December 6, 2018, she had not paid either judgment. She owes over $4,500 for the judgments, which each compounds 5% interest for each year left unpaid, along with other related costs.
