What appears to be a Travis Scott cheating photo has been making its rounds on the Internet, causing many fans to believe the rapper cheated on Kylie Jenner — however, it’s not what it seems.

On December 3, 2018, an admittedly very convincing photo surfaced on Instagram under the now-deleted handle @melaninnbarbiee purporting to show Scott cozying up to a woman that wasn’t his girlfriend (maybe wife?) Jenner.

“Nobody likes me but yo baby daddy keeps me icy,” the caption read.

The upload appeared to show the photo as coming from TMZ, which real internet sleuths know would be the first way to tell whether or not the photo was real. If you searched the alleged source TMZ’s website, the photo and story were nowhere to be found.

Even so, the photo got so big even Scott himself addressed it on his Instagram story, calling out trolls for trying “to destroy real love.” He wrote, “I hope God blocks out all evil.”

Days after the photo went viral, YouTuber Christian Adam G has come forward to reveal he staged the whole thing for a YouTube video, and it isn’t Scott in the photo at all.

So who is Christian Adam G? Here’s what we know about his YouTube channel, videos, and how his prank has been received.

1. His ChristianAdamG YouTube channel is full of social experiments.

According to his YouTube channel (which currently has over 300,000 subscribers), Christian Adam G is from the Bahamas. His Facebook page shows that he currently attends the University of Georgia for Business Management.

It appears the majority of Adam G’s videos are social experiments, and this isn’t the first time he targeted Scott. In November 2017, he uploaded a video of him spending a day pretending to be the rapper.

“Ever since I started YouTube, [people] have been calling me Travis Scott,” he said in the video, apparently doing what he can do capitalize on it.

2. Christian Adam G claimed he wanted to test how “gullible” people are.

In the video reveal of his experiment, Adam G claimed that he didn’t want to break up anyone’s relationship. Instead, he said he wanted to “fool the world into making the world believe that I’m a real celebrity. The goal of this video is not to hurt anybody, but it’s to see how gullible is the internet.”

He also explained that he doesn’t think “people care about the truth,” and said that when it comes to stories online, people just want to read what’s most salacious. “The lies are always more entertaining,” he said, “and the most entertaining story is going to be the story you hear.”

3. Travis Scott denied the cheating rumor.

4. Kylie Jenner made a statement about the video.

Shortly after Adam G’s YouTube video came out revealing that the cheating photo was nothing but a hoax, Jenner took to her Instagram story to call the YouTuber out.

“IDK if this is really a social experiment to some people but you’re messing with real people, real relationships, real family,” she wrote. “I’m happy my relationship is strong because this is getting out of hand. the internet scares me sometimes for real.”

Of course, this isn’t the first time Jenner has had to deal with cheating accusations and unfortunately won’t be the last. In January 2018, while still pregnant, Radar Online ran a story claiming Jenner “flipped out on” Scott for allegedly “cheating on her with several women.”

5. Kim and Khloe Kardashian both addressed the cheating rumor.

Having very publicly dealt with cheating in a relationship herself, Khloe took to Twitter to defend both Jenner and Scott from the hoax video. “People are absolutely disgusting! The mind games this would do to somebody… That is so completely not OK!” she wrote on Twitter, writing that Adam G “should be ashamed” of himself, though she didn’t drop his name.

Kim, on the other hand, was not afraid to address Adam G directly. “I hate that I am bringing attention to this but this is absolutely disgusting that you would find this funny to mess with Travis & Kylie who just started a family together,” she tweeted. “This is really damaging to relationships, families and is just so wrong!”

Christian Adam G has not apologized for the video, however, he added a disclaimer to the YouTube upload.

“This video was NOT made to intentionally hurt Travis Scott, Kylie Jenner or any of the entire Kardashian family in ANY way shape or form,” he wrote. “Travis Scott is NOT actually a cheater....... so now that's out of the way... Gotcha' internet!”
