He's an American marrying a princess!

Who says fairy tales are just for girls? Sure, it is mostly little girls that dream of being a princess, either by discovering that they were switched at birth and really belong in a royal family or by falling in love with and marrying a handsome prince. I mean, Meghan Markle, right? Another American is marrying a royal — only this time, it is a man named Matthew Kumar who will be tying the knot with Princess Theodora of Greece and Denmark. Who is Matthew Kumar?
1. Where is he from?
Matthew Kumar was born and raised in Southern California to Sam and Lonnie Kumar. He is a 34-year-old attorney appearing to specialize in debt collection in Westlake Village, California. Princess Theodora has been posting pics of Kumar on her Insta since 2016.
2. The casual announcement
Theodora, a 35-year-old graduate of Brown University and actress on The Bold and the Beautiful took to her Instagram to express her excitement. She captioned the photo below, “Words can’t express our happiness and excitement. I can’t wait to marry this wonderful man. I love you Matt.”
3. Royal family congrats
Princess Maria-Olympia, Theodora's niece posted on her aunt's post "BEST NEWS EVAAAAA." Her brother, Prince Nikolaos also posted, writing, "I'm so unbelievably happy for you and wish you both a life of eternal happiness.
4. The formal announcement
Theodora's family issued the following statement "Their Majesties King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie are delighted to announce the engagement of their youngest daughter Theodora to Mr. Matthew Kumar."
5. Theodora's godmother
There's a good chance that Queen Elizabeth will attend Theodora's wedding. The Queen is Princess Theodora's godmother. Queen Elizabeth's husband Prince Philip was born a Prince of Greece. She also got to know King Constantine II and Queen Anne-Marie when they lived in England for several decades.
6. Royal in name only
The Greek Monarchy was abolished in 1974, but that has not stopped the kids of deposed Greek King Constantine II from living privileged lives. Since the monarchy is no longer technically ruling, Princess Theodora and her siblings have been able to do things that otherwise might have been frowned upon. Theodora was raised in England. She got her B.A. in Theater Arts from Brown University. After college she headed to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting under the name Theodora Greece.
7. Invite of the season
Princess Theodora grew up in England in the royal set. Her wedding is sure to be the invite of the season for the young royals of Europe.
