5 Zodiac Signs Whose Love Language Is Words Of Affirmation, According To Astrology

Are you thoughtful with your words? Do you choose them carefully so you use the best ones to communicate your thoughts and feelings? Is it important to you that your loved one know not only how much they mean to you, but also how wonderful they are?

Each of us has our own unique and personal way or ways of expressing our love. And according to the book The Five Love Languages by Dr. Gary Chapman, there are five distinct ways that love is expressed: Words of Affirmation, Acts of Service, Gift Giving, Quality Time, and Physical Touch.

Since astrology and our zodiac signs influence our personality, they can also help determine the love languages of ourselves and our partner. If you’re someone who needs constant affirmation that you are doing something well, you’re going to understand that when your partner says things like, “I value you” or “Thank you for looking at my speech," they are telling you they love you.

When someone’s primary love language is words of affirmation, they let their partner know their feelings for them by using words that build them up instead of knocking them down. They praise their partners, and in doing so, their partners know they’re being supported every step of the way.

Positive affirmations make us feel good and help to motivate us to accomplish our goals and believe in ourselves. You don’t have to use words like love, adore, or cherish to let someone know you are in love with them.

1. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)

Words mean more than just a general way to speak to Gemini — they are a way to connect with other people, a source of inspiration, a tool to get ideas across, a way to make other people feel better about themselves, and are a way to express love.

Geminis need to feel supported and as if they're on the right track, and since they need it, they know that others respond to it as well. They always want their partner to know how much they appreciate them and how much they're adored.

2. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)

It's tricky trying to stay as balanced as possible, and for Libra, they need as much support and praise as they can get. They respond very well to words of affirmation and they use them as a way to show love.

Libras would rather focus on the positive and find that a compliment always feels better than a criticism. They are very social creatures and as gracious as they are to the people in their orbit, they expect a certain amount of admiration and flattery about their admirable qualities and characteristics.

3. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)

Aries may be impulsive and brave, but they need encouragement and support just as much as anyone. When it comes to praise, an Aries gives as good as they get. They don't expect it to be one-sided. They seem to come alive when they get positive attention.

They are major flirts, so they know the power that positive affirmations have on somebody. Sincere flattery has the power to heal and can make a person feel better about themselves.

4. LEO (July 23 - August 22)

Leos have a strong sense of self, but that doesn't mean they don't like being praised and admired. They also know that being positive and giving people words of encouragement causes them to bond with you.

Leos like being the center of attention and one way that shows the focus is on them is when someone is affirming their many incredible talents and personality characteristics. While they may enjoy praise, they have an instinct for when someone isn't telling the truth and is only using flattery to manipulate them. A Leo will only offer a compliment to a loved one that's sincere and true.
