In a surprise twist, TLC announced that Angela and Michael From 90-Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days are joining the new season of 90-Day Fiancé. After all, nothing says love like an American grandmother and a 30-year-old Nigerian Trump supporter and that’s what TLC delivered all the way back during seasons 2 and 3 of 90-Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. S

Angela, a 53-year-old from Georgia, was looking for love online and met 31-year-old Michael from Nigeria. The two were both lying about their age in the profiles but Angela claims that they came clean about the details and fell in love despite the differences.

Angela helped raise six grandchildren and had been married before and divorced young. Angela never thought she'd marry again until she met Michael on Facebook. They got to know each other over the phone and social media for a few months and then Angela hopped on a plane to go to Nigeria to meet Michael in person. Could they possibly still be together? Maybe this season we'll finally find out!

1. Angela

Angela is a 53-year-old grandmother from Georgia. After a lifetime of caring for other people, she decided to find a romance that makes her happy. No one can argue with her decision when she puts it that way. She got online and met Michael, a Nigerian native who at the time said he was 40 but is really only 30. But since she shaved years off her own age in her profile, she thinks it's all a good joke.

2. Michael

The object of Angela’s affection is a 31-year-old Nigerian sales professional who lives at home with his family. He says his goal is to own a car dealership someday and the lists Donald Trump as his role model. He claims to enjoy Angela's bossy personality.

3. Pushback

Pretty much no one in either Michael or Angela’s life thinks this relationship is a good idea. Angela’s daughter is concerned about the money Angela is spending on gifts and travel and she fears the whole thing is a scam. Michael’s friends are shocked that he’s chosen a woman 22 years his senior who's unlikely to step back and let him be the man of the house.

4. Culture Shock

Angela makes a good faith attempt to make a good impression on Michael’s mother. Things start out a little anxiously when Angela feels nervous in Michael’s neighborhood. She brought Michael’s mom a gift of a purse, which the mom rejects out of hand, saying it’s too small. Nonetheless, Angela tries to keep a smile on her face and even acts happy when she’s offered a plate of cooked snail to eat. She gamely tries the dish, then begs Michael to kiss her so she can spit the food into his mouth rather than swallow it.

5. Misunderstandings

Other aspects of the match seem to be causing issues for this pair, too. In a clothing store, Michael calls Angela fat, much to her dismay, even though she had moments before said it about herself. He also gets on her case about smoking, to no avail. Angels lights up at will. When they get ready for an evening out, he mentions their age difference in a way that bothers Angela as well.

6. Reality check

The twosome meets up with friends of Michael’s and Angela wastes no time trying to find out any secrets he might be hiding from her. Once she’s assured that he has no other girlfriends, the discussion turns to the issue of Nigerian men preferring to be the leader of the family. Angela exhales some smoke and says, “Well, that ain’t gonna happen.”

7. Pop the question?

Even though Angela has a ring with her in Nigeria, it’s not clear if she ever proposes to Michael. The two of them seem to be together in some way, with flirty comments appearing on their social media accounts. But it doesn’t seem like they’re in the same place nor is there any wedding planning talk. Fans will just have to watch and see what comes next.
