Did Melanie Griffith have plastic surgery? Getting plastic surgery in Hollywood isn’t usually a big deal. With families like the Kardashians basically rubbing their cosmetic procedures in our faces, it’s no wonder we’ve all become accustomed to seeing stars go under the knife.
But sometimes, celebs go a little too far and they become unrecognizable! We’ve seen it with Lil Kim, Wayne Newton, Renee Zellweger, Rose McGowan, and now another actress is joining the club of celebrities we can no longer recognize.
Did Melanie Griffith have plastic surgery? There are Melanie Griffith plastic surgery rumors swirling around the internet.
Though she’s always been known for overdoing her cosmetic procedures, even though she’s never publicly admitted to it, she did once say, “Most people are telling me I look horrible.” Perhaps that’s what has instigated her alleged procedures over the years.
In the upcoming September issue of InStyle magazine, we get a closer look at the actress. Melanie herself posted photos of the shoot on her Instagram and so did editor-in-chief Laura Brown. Fans can’t seem to help themselves when it comes to commenting on her appearance, with some wondering if it’s a completely different person, and others feeling pity that she’s no longer herself.
But is it because of surgery or retouching the photos? Did the editors overdo the touch-ups and make her purposely look like another person? One person on Twitter even said, “This is simply outrageous how much Photoshop was used. Is there something wrong with looking older? Who will believe that her boobs and neckline look like she’s 20? A horrible thing.”
It turns out that over 20 years ago, the star did in fact admit to having plastic surgery but after she was criticized, she apparently had the procedure reversed.
“No, I didn’t [realize] until people started saying, ‘Oh my God, what has she done?!’ I was so hurt,” she said in 2017 interview with the London Times. “I had surgery 20 years ago. Then, about seven years ago, I started doing injections. I think I must have been allergic to it. I went to a different doctor, and he started dissolving all of this s*** that this other woman doctor had put in. Hopefully, I look more normal now.”
Unfortunately ... she doesn’t. If you compare the actress in a then versus now, it’s pretty clear she’s received treatments and surgery. That, or some major Photoshop occurred.
While there isn’t confirmation from Melanie herself, something tells us that she’s been going under the knife for years unnoticed. It isn’t until she was put in the spotlight that people really started to notice how different she looks.
