On July 4, 2018, Chance the Rapper's girlfriend Kirsten Corley became his fiancée when Chance popped the question during a backyard party. An adorable video of Chance the Rapper's proposal shows he got down on one knee and said, “Kirsten Katrina Corley, will you make me a man and be my wife?”
Surrounded by friends and family, the mother of Chance's daughter said yes, as was succinctly confirmed by Chance the Rapper’s tweet afterward:

1. She is the mother of Chance’s daughter.

According to People Magazine, Kirsten Corley and Jonathon Bennett (Chance the Rappers legal name) have a daughter together, almost three-year-old Kensli Bennett, who was born in September of 2015.
2. They got together in 2013, but broke up once
Their relationship has been a little bit shaky. According to People Magazine, they’ve been together since 2013, BUT they briefly broke up in May of 2016. The breakup was evident by Kirsten filing documents to claim Chance as Kensli’s father followed by a request for child support and a request to remain “sole caretaker” of Kensli.
They later reconciled in January 2017 and Kirsten dropped all of her previous filings.
3. Corley rarely shows up on Chance's social media profiles
While Corley opts to stay out of Chance's spotlight, she occasionally makes appearances on Instagram. In May 2018, Chance posted a heartfelt tribute to Corley for her birthday on Instagram. “From the beginning beginning to the end end. You are my oldest and best friend,” he wrote in the caption. “You are responsible for everyone of the most wonderful things in my life. I’m forever grateful that God made me find you, and even more grateful that you made me find God. Forever and ever babe. Happy Birthday.”
This post seemed to indicate that their relationship was stronger than ever, which was later proven by their engagement.
4. She was a model.
According to Billboard, Kirsten did a bit of modeling back in 2014 for Alexander Wang. She also, according to Chance, plays basketball and dresses up in couples costumes with him on Halloween.
5. Chance's engagement to Corley caused controversy.
Not only did he mention Kirsten and Kensli in his acceptance speech at the Grammy's (only after thanking God himself), but he actually responded to some serious shade he got on Twitter where his proposal to Kirsten was called “extra hot smelly trash.” Chance responded that it was “pretty wack” of this person to spread tweets full of “hate for [his proposal].” He ended both of his responses to the hater with the phrase “get off my [sic]."
