Your misery makes them happy.

They say if you can't be happy for another person, then it's your problem and not theirs. And often times, we do sink to the lowest level with our feelings for another person's successes. The resentful zodiac signs know this all too well. Blame astrology or their horoscope, but they can't help being bitter.
In the same light, we might feel schadenfreude, which is that sick and twisted feeling we get when we delight in another's misfortune. How terrible of us to be this way, and yet so many of us can't come out of our own misery for long enough to simply be happy for someone else.
Whatever it is that causes resentment in a person usually stems from a deep sense of insecurity, and that is usually due to jealousy. The thing with jealousy is that no one really admits to being jealous, so pinpointing the reasons why a person might feel sudden bursts of resentment is sometimes hard to understand.
Resentment often happens when one person desires what another person has and, in turn, holds the other person's gains against them.
Some people are more resentful of others; they cannot be happy for others no matter what. They have this feeling that if a good thing happens to someone other than themselves, there won't be any left for them. Resentful people will wish you well, but not mean a word of it. They wait for you to fail, to fall and to go down.
1. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras have a problem with other people's happiness, especially if they secretly wish they had all the things that the person they resent has. Libra is quick to judge, and by putting others down in snarky, uncalled-for ways, they deflect from seeing in themselves how they do not have what another does.
2. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgo makes no bones about it; they resent you. For your looks, your relationship, your wealth, your health — it really doesn't matter. Virgo will never ever be happy for another person, and if they do break out of their mold and express happiness for another, they will soon take it back, as there really isn't much that doesn't inspire jealousy in Virgo.
3. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Being as strong as Aries are, they are also intolerant of happiness in others. While they'd like to convince everyone that they are well meaning and compassionate, the truth is, they're not. They resent anyone who has more than they do.
But with Aries, not only will they never admit to such a weakness, they will go out of their way to let you know that what you DO have isn't much at all. They like to belittle people — that's how their resentment manifests.
4. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpio resents everything they cannot control. To a Scorpio, if you aren't on board with their plans, they resent you for your willingness to be free.
Another's freedom is troubling to Scorpio, as it means you may not do what they say, and they're all about giving orders. If you show yourself to be insubordinate, you will be highly resented.
5. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces uses any excuse they can find to be resentful and this is because they are jealous of just about everyone who walks. If you have romantic happiness, forget it — your Pisces friend will resent the heck out of you. If you have a "good body," your Pisces pal will feel you don't deserve it.
In the Pisces mind, they deserve all the good things, and anyone who has more than they do, they resent.
6. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Born jealous, Aquarius doesn't even stand a chance in a world without resentment. They are naturally resentful, and not only that — they're vicious. Aquarians don't only resent, they seethe with hate and dwell heavily on all of your accomplishments and glories until they can find a way to rationalize why you have so much and they so little.
Aquarians aren't in denial about what they don't have; they simply despise you for what you do have. Heavy resentment from this group.
