Horrifying New Details About The Mom Who Heard Her 15-Year-Old Daughter Being Murdered Over The Phone

Salt Lake City police are searching for a man who is a person of interest in the murder of a 15-year-old girl. 

According to WSB-TV, Baleigh Bagshaw called her mother after getting home from school on Monday to check in. It was their usual routine. 

Baleigh’s mother, who is not being identified, said that while she was on the phone with her daughter, she heard her being assaulted and killed.

When the phone went dead, the mother called the police. They went to the home and found the teenager’s body. 

“While she was on the phone with her mother, she was brutally attacked while inside of her home,” Sgt. Brandon Shearer, a Salt Lake City Police Department spokesman,
said. “Her mother heard the attack going on and then the phone went dead.” 

“I can’t even guess what the mother would be going through right now. Our hearts and thoughts are with her and the whole family through this horrible ordeal,” Shearer said. 

Police said the attack was very violent, and the killer left a lot of evidence that was spread throughout the home and the nearby area. 

Investigators announced that Shaun French, 24, was a person of interest.

According to new reports, French has an active warrant for three counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor. The charges stem from an alleged relationship he had with Baleigh. 

French had been missing ever since Baleigh was murdered until he was arrested in Colorado on May 9. 

It’s unclear if he entered a plea or if he has an attorney. He is still just a person of interest in Baleigh’s murder.
