16 Everyday Habits That'll Help You Become A Millionaire
Most millionaires aren’t born; they’re self-made.
Most millionaires aren’t born; they’re self-made. In a survey by Fidelity Investments, approximately 80% of people who have a net worth of $1 million or more did it without a trust fund or inheritance. As the classic Smith Barney commercial from the ’70s used to say, “They make money the old-fashioned way...they earn it.”
Millionaires soar financially because of their daily habits. Tim Corley, author of Rich Habits: The Daily Success Habits of Wealthy Individuals, tells us, “Your habits are the reason why you’re rich or poor…It’s often two or three habits that separate the wealthy from those who are financially challenged.”
So if you’re one of the motivated individuals who has painted “$1,000,000” on your ceiling (it’s a thing), it’s time to turn off the game shows and read on to discover how to become a millionaire with these habits.
1. Say “NO”
When you say “NO” to all the wasteful things that come into your life then you have more time to read new books, learn new things daily, get sufficient sleep, ask yourself questions about whether you are really going in a correct direction or not, contact your friends which sometimes are your lifelines, and finally you can give more time to your love life. So say “NO” more.
2. Love
This is the only religion of any millionaire in all over the world. This is the only thing worth surrounding yourself with, too. This is the fuel for your ideal muscle. If you have the vision to spread love around the world then you definitely become successful one day.
3. Make mistakes
Mistakes are the spell book of the success. Study them hard as much as possible. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes because if you are making mistakes, that means you are developing something new. When muscle fail they rebuild stronger.
4. Plant seeds
Basic math: 1% of the seeds turn into 50% of the flower. So plant more and more seeds as possible.
5. Be around people who are kind to you and love you
If you are surrounded by the people who love you and are kind to you, they can give you positive energy in your vision. People other than that make you unhappy, unkind, and unsuccessful. So always beware of them.
6. Don't make excuses
Blaming is draining. If you blame others for your losses then you definitely lose yourself somewhere. Complaining is draining. We don’t have inner plumbing for all that draining. Never try to give excuses for anything, whether it is related to your personal or professional life.
7. Don’t rush
Everyone has their own time that they achieve success. Every "overnight success" I’ve spoken to took 10–20 years to get there. But only if they celebrated small success along the way.
8. Ask questions
There are more questions than answers. Opportunities are buried in the questions. Facts can be outsourced. If you can ask yourself questions again and again about different topics and to anyone then you definitely learn something amazing daily, which is helpful for your development.
9. Write down 10 ideas a day
This actually turns into a superpower. Do this for six months straight and see the amazing results. Many people try this and they get wonderful results.
10. Follow up
I’m shy and bad at this. And lazy. Send an e-mail the next day with an idea on the next step. I have to do this.
11. Solve difficult gratitude problems
If you can find a diamond in the mud, you’re going to end up with a lot of diamonds in life. Every millionaire has the amazing talent of problem-solving for gratitude. They can deal amazingly with each new challenge.
12. Give 1% more a day
Whatever you want to get better at: do 1% more each day. 1% a day, compounded, is 3800% a year. And you win. The only thing that matters is your consistency. If you are consistent with the things you are doing right now, you will get success one day.
13. Only worry about right now
Regret will waste time today worrying about yesterday. And anxiety will steal energy from the future. Focus on the right now. Do the things that you were planning on doing now.
14. Sleep
Sleep rejuvenates brain cell. It heals the body and reduces anxiety. Your brain is only active 2–5 hours a day. So sweet dreams.
15. Stay healthy
You can’t get rich from the bed of the hospital or a grave. So be healthy, eat well, sleep a lot so that you can maintain your consistency.
16. Do one thing every day that you loved as a kid
This is usually a fuel that can power your life. This can increase your mental strength and make you positive whole day.
