Everyone is a little different so everybody is going to want their proposal to be a little different. Tailor your proposal to her personality by going by what fits her astrological zodiac sign.
By going with a proposal that fits her zodiac sign, you’re more likely to make her feel special, loved and more likely to say “yes”.
Proposing to the woman you love is a big step (correction — a HUGE step). We get that you’re probably nervous. So, plan your proposal around her astrological zodiac sign to ease some of your anxiety about her answer.
Every personality is a bit different. For example, people with an Aries horoscope tend to like anything that is honest. So, for them, it’s less about the proposal itself and more about the honesty of the speech before the actual request of marriage.
As an Aries myself, I’ve been proposed to very simply (and honestly) and I found it to be perfect, for me. My now husband (yeah, that’s right. I said “yes”) lead me outside on a clear night under the stars, and he just spontaneously got down on one knee, told me how much he loved me and asked me to be his wife.
Some prefer simple and some prefer more elaborate marriage proposal. Plan a proposal that is personalized to her zodiac sign's personality and your relationship. Aries (March 21 – April 19)
The Aries tend to be enthusiastic, optimistic and passionate. These characteristics tend to mean that the exact execution of a wedding proposal will be less important to them. Honesty is so highly valued by the Aries tends to mean that as long as the proposal is heartfelt (and honest) they won't care how elaborate of a spectacle it was. With an Aries, it’s best to keep it simple. Pop the question when it feels natural and honest.
Warning: The Aries tends to be impatient, so if marriage has already been brought up, don’t wait around or risk making her very aggressively impatient about it.
Taurus (April 20 – May 20)
The Taurus tends to enjoy simple things like cooking and gardening. Consider keeping your proposal to a Taurus relatively simple. Plan to go grocery shopping for all of the ingredients for her favorite dinner (pick up some flowers while you’re at it) and spend the night in cooking together (a little “preview” of her adorable life with you). Then take her on a small stroll and pop the question by her favorite bed of flowers.
Bonus Tip: Touch tends to be very important to the Taurus, so be sure you’re touching her periodically throughout making and eating dinner (little hand squeezes, brushing up against her, little kisses, etc.). And definitely, make sure to hold her hand while you pop the question.
Gemini (May 21 – June 20)
The Geminis tend to enjoy music and short trips so consider taking your Gemini sweetie on a short trip to a concert (maybe her favorite artist will be nearby soon) and propose to her there.
Warning: The Gemini can be quite indecisive, so be ready for the possibility of hesitation when you ask.
Cancer (June 21 – July 22)
Cancers tend to be very emotional, sentimental and enjoy being by the water. The best bet for the best wedding proposal for a cancer is to plan a romantic proposal at sunset at the beach.
Bonus tip: Hire someone to film the proposal for her to keep forever.
Leo (July 23 – August 22)
Leos tend to enjoy theatre, nice things (i.e. expensive things) and taking trips. So, for the perfect Leo proposal, make sure the ring is nice enough for her taste and take her away to a romantic destination. Consider taking her to her favorite play or movie and then pop the question in the most romantic spot in the romantic destination you picked.
Virgo (August 23 – September 22)
Virgos tend to dislike being the center of attention, so definitely avoid proposing in front of people. A safer bet with a Virgo is to plan a private one-on-one proposal. The Virgo is generally a big fan of nature so plan an outdoor proposal in her favorite season, in her favorite spot and be sure that no one else is around.
Libra (September 23 – October 22)
The Libra tends to be a very social zodiac sign so consider proposing to your Libra love somewhere with a lot of her friends and loved ones. But don’t do it at someone else’s wedding. That’s such a horrible party foul. Libras also enjoy the outdoors so maybe consider throwing a surprise party picnic and pop the question there.
Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)
Scorpios tend to have a great appreciation for truth, honesty, and facts. The best proposal bet for a Scorpio is to just come right out and say it — you want to spend the rest of your life with her. Some planning ahead might be nice so she knows you’re genuine (i.e. don’t pull the rookie move of proposing without a ring). But the best bet is to let the proposal happen naturally and honestly.
Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)
Loving freedom and travel make the Sagittarius a fickle one to propose to. Prove to her that you’ll still have adventures after getting married by proposing to her on an adventurous trip to a destination she’s been dying to visit. Once you’re there, it may be best to propose outdoors, as most Sagittarius enjoy it outside.
Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)
Capricorns tend to be very family oriented, so consider proposing to her in front of her family (assuming that they’re OK with your union).
Bonus Tip: Capricorns tend to be quite traditional so definitely be sure to get down on one knee and know her stance on “asking for her hand” before popping the question.
Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)
The Aquarius is, admittedly, the most likely out of the zodiac signs to say “no” to a proposal due to their tendency to be temperamental, run from emotional expression and their general preference for being alone.
However, if you’re smitten and are going to propose anyway. Consider popping the question while helping her do something that is important to her to prove that you’re worth having as a partner for her lifestyle.
For example, Aquarius tend to be humanitarians who enjoy fighting for causes. Consider showing some genuine initiative towards a cause that is important to her and plans a protest against whatever injustices are being done. Once the dust has settled, pop the question.
Pisces (February 19 – March 20)
Pisces tend to have a deep appreciation for music and romance. Plan a candlelit dinner in (they also enjoy being alone), play some romantic music in the background (being sure that all of the songs display something special about her and/or your relationship) and ask her to be your wife over her favorite alcoholic beverage.
