Zodiac Signs Who Would Make Parenthood A Priority, Ranked!

Parenthood is a choice and it’s not for everybody.

Parenting requires sacrifice and it's a choice that should be made with a lot of thought. Not every zodiac sign has that instinct or desire for parenting a small human.

Women aren’t necessarily born with a maternal instinct but they could be based upon their horoscope traits.

For example, a Libra or a Virgo can make an excellent homemaker. Whereas an Aries may choose a career and delay that decision for later.

It’s not in us to be a nurturer or take care of everyone, normally. Nor are men born wanting to start a family or provide for them. That doesn’t mean it can’t ever be the case. I knew since I was three years old that I want to be a mom.

This was way before I even wanted to be a wife. I definitely was fantasizing about babies way more than a romantic wedding. There was a time I thought that women would just make the ultimate transition to being a housewife.

That, as a young Scorpio child, I was just destined for a life of only domesticity. I couldn’t see how because I was still busy struggling to figure out simple third grade math equations. Eventually, I realized that that’s how anything works.

I wasn’t going to just transform into a housewife or stay-at-home parent just because I was born with a particular zodiac sign. I realized those are just some choices a woman or man can make. If I wanted to continue with school or a career, I could also do so.

I’m not going to lie though. I have thought about choosing a life of complete domestic bliss if I choose to be a parent instead of having a career. For everyone, the choice of whether to bring a small child into the world is different.

But, when it is for someone, it can be one of the most beautiful and rewarding choices they can make.

It all really depends on the zodiac sign as not everyone is parental. Plus, everyone parents differently.

1. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)

Of course, Cancer tops this list. Under this sign, you're a natural homemaker. Marriage and children come easy once you decide these things for you.

You work hard to provide a comfortable and beautiful home for your family. You do your best to be good to your spouse and that adds to your children's overall growth.

2. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)

Scorpio might not seem like the most maternal/paternal of the signs. You're emotional but keep it under control or...at least...you try. But, you do have a protective instinct about you and emotions, even if they are hidden.

You also are known for paying an obsessive amount of attention to the people you love. I guess I should've used the word "we" because all of this applies to me too.

3. LEO (July 23 - August 22)

Leo is known for being a self-centered sign and it might not seem likely that they'd choose parenthood. However, they love and need to have an audience, which can easily be made up of a spouse plus their children together.

They're also super cuddly and, because they know the worth of positive attention, are very attentive towards their kids. Let's not forget their materialism. You would naturally give children what they need and a lot of what they want.

4. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)

Libra is the fairest sign of them all as I've said before...multiple times. You may not easily choose parenthood because you're more concerned with advancing humanity as a whole.

However, if you think helping humanity starts with raising proper humans, parenthood becomes a natural choice. You're emotionally soft but like to use your brain to see all sides of a situation. These are qualities your children would appreciate.

5. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)

Pisces is a natural nurturer. Under this sign, your element is water, which gives rise to all life. Giving someone life is a natural choice for you like it is for Libra or Cancer.

You may not be as stable as some of the above signs. But your natural empathy would be much appreciated by your children.

6. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)

Taurus is a creature of comfort. Assuming they want parenthood more than their other desires, there's a lot they can offer their families. My Taurean mother had practically given up everything for us for the first fourteen years and only started looking after herself when she knew it was okay.

Taurean parents make sure to add the comfort and materialism in their kids' lives that they'd like for their own lives. You'd make a wonderful parent.

7. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)

Capricorn's not the most maternal/paternal person. They'd probably want other things for themselves. However, if you're a Capricorn, you have a lot of love and loyalty to give to a family.

You care for your circle as if they were your family already. You'd be the kind of parent to leave a deeply felt mark in your kids' lives.

8. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)

Arians are even less inclined to have instincts for parenthood. I should know because my brother refuses to ever give me any nieces or nephews. However, should you become a parent, you'd set high standards for yourself.

9. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)

Virgos are also not ones for parenthood or for the physical act that leads to it. They may lean towards doing what's right but that's because they know it and not because they have high sensitivity.

Parenthood needs both common sense and empathy. However, you'd offer your kids high standards and purity. Your kids should easily trust you.

10. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)

Geminis are social and intelligent not parental or nurturing. Parenthood is something you put on the back burner for a while under this sign. Even so, you'd keep up your social life after your kids' birth. Your kids would also have a lot of fun in their lives.You'd have to want parenthood first, though.

11. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)

Aquarians are not high on emotions. Under this sign, you'd probably put off parenthood for as long as possible. However, you'd raise your kids in an eccentric lifestyle.

You'd also instill humanitarian values in them. You would just have to remember to use your emotions from time to time.

12. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)

This is the sign to put off parenthood for the longest time or forever, whichever. You're the fiercest loners at heart. You don't need the emotional fulfillment from marriage or parenthood.

However, your high-achieving spirit would rub off on any potential children. Just remember to connect with them every once in a while.
