They just can't help lecturing you!

Some people are naturally naggy and if people knew more about their horoscope, they would know that certain zodiac signs will lecture more than most.
Whenever I think of someone who is a nag, I tend to think more of a parent figure instead of someone like my best friend, and don't really think about astrology.
Of course, I know that anyone can be a nag — and these zodiac signs prove that being a nag isn’t reserved for just one kind of person — but you get my point.
You don’t expect your friends to get all naggy with you when you don’t pick up the clothes on your bedroom floor or tell you that you should be a more careful driver.
I mean, those might be the kind of people you hang out with, but usually, nagging comes from a very nosy family member.
Take my grandma, for example. I know she means well, and I love her to death, but she nags ALL the time.
Whether it’s about how to put the dishes in the dishwasher (there’s a specific way to do it) or which way the pots and pans are stacked in the drawers, she always has to have the last word.
What makes it even worse is that we’re both Aquarians, so we’re constantly butting heads because we both think we’re right and the other person is wrong.
And the only way I know how to placate her is by showing her the newest pair of shoes I bought and taking her mind off of whatever we’re arguing about completely.
But it doesn’t matter what reasons the zodiac signs have for being naggy, every single sun sign does it in one way or another.
It might not be as apparent as coming right out and telling someone you know better and that they should listen to you, but there are still ways to know if your zodiac sign is a nag.
And before you start making assumptions that the zodiac signs that nag the most are annoying and hard to be friends with, hold that thought.
While I know that nagging can be extremely annoying to listen to, especially if it’s being directed at you, people usually nag because they care.
They might want you to work up the courage to ask for a raise at work or just get your sh*t together for once and clean your room.
But they don’t do it just because they like nagging (or maybe they do like it), but really because they think they’re being helpful.
It certainly doesn’t make it any less obnoxious, but you can see where they’re coming from.
I also know that some astrological signs DGAF if you think they’re annoying when they nag or not — they’re gonna say what they want to say and you’re going to listen to them say it.
Those are the signs who like using their naggy personality because they can, not so much because they care.
Coincidentally, those are also the signs you should shun because they’re just too much to handle. Just kidding.

VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgo, you nag so much that it’s hard to tell if you’re doing it on purpose or if you’ve morphed into a permanent nag who can’t turn it off. In your defense, you don’t nag just because you know you can get people to do whatever you say — usually — but you do know that you can influence others around you pretty easily. You always need to be in control that when you’re not nagging, you feel lost.
As a Virgo, you’re a natural-born communicator. You tell it like it is, you work through problems with your words, and you’re a pro at giving others advice. You’re also a natural-born nitpicker and you have a hard time letting things go.
In your opinion (and you always have one), if there’s something important you need to say, you’re going to say it and risk sounding like a nag instead of not saying it at all.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Gemini, you’re also a communicator, but when you “communicate” it’s more like aggressive yelling and less like an exchange of ideas with a friend. You want what you want and gosh darn it, you’re gonna get what you want.
It doesn’t matter who you’re trying to persuade, but you know that if you never let up and continually nag them, they will eventually see your side of things and give in. In other words, you’re unrelenting.
You’ve always been a vocal personality who knows that if things are going to get done, you need to say something. Sure, it might sound like you’re nagging everyone do whatever you say — much like a member of the royal family commanding their subjects — but you’re just doing you.
Who cares if you’re a bit like a toddler when someone doesn’t take your advice, right? Well, everyone cares, but you don’t.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Everyone has heard it time and time again, but you’re going to keep saying it because it’s true. As a Cancer, you feel an innate need to express each of your emotions as they come.
When you’re not expressing yourself, you feel like you’re turning into some unfeeling robot. It really isn’t that deep, but you’re gonna stick with it because that’s how you feel.
More than that, though, when you do express these raw emotions of yours, you want them acknowledged. You aren’t going to share your opinions and experiences just for someone to ignore you!
When people ignore you, you go into that nagging mode of yours where you no longer care about sharing a relatable experience; you care about getting your point across, so help you.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces, when people call you a nag, you find it very insulting. It’s not your fault you’re just trying to help people make the right decision, right? Of course not! You nag because you care and if it ends up helping them, then all the better.
Of course, you also never forget, like some kind of humanoid elephant, so when someone doesn’t take your advice the first time, you’re always there to remind them that they should listen to you.
And yes, everyone can agree that as a Pisces, you are really caring and helpful. But when you bring things up, hoping to revisit an issue you distinctly remember nagging someone about before, you go from helpful to know-it-all.
It’s okay to think you know best, but to push someone to trust you when they’d rather figure it out on their own is just too much, man.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus, you’re one of those nags who makes whatever it is you’re saying seem like it doesn’t matter, when in fact, you would go to the ends of the earth to prove your point.
Just because you throw out some advice to someone and then shrug your shoulders as if to say, “But do what you want,” doesn’t mean you don’t secretly hope they listen to you.
You’re always sharing advice with others because you feel like you have a wealth of experience that’s somehow always relevant. You’re also very opinionated, so when you don’t have a story at the ready to prove your point, you figure your pushy nature is enough to sway someone to listen to you. But I have news for ya – your methods don’t make you any less of a nag than everyone else.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorn, you are so used to being in charge that when you’re not nagging it feels almost wrong. Of course, you don’t do it because you want to lord your authority over your friends, but rather because you care — how sweet.
Being the most practical and responsible one in your squad, you are what’s known as the Mom Friend; the one who is always taking care of the others and making sure they make good choices.
So really, when you think about it, you were also elected to be the naggy one in your friend group. Whenever your friends are freaking out about a crush or need some advice about how to deal with their boss at work, you’re always there to put in your two cents.
And because you already know everything about their problems, you also feel entitled to nag them when they don’t listen to you. Thanks, mom.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpio, you’re the type of person who everyone can hear talking and laughing from across a crowded room, so it stands to reason that you like being heard.
And honestly, the only reason you nag is because you figure whosever conversation you were butting into earlier to share your opinion probably just didn’t hear you the first time. Common mistake.
You’re an expressive sign who loves sharing your opinion and giving advice whenever you can – and trust me when I say you are the hardcore, ride or die friend everyone needs in their life — but you’re no expert at nagging.
You are bossy, though, so learn how to pick your battles and only nag when you’re sure you know best.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
If anyone understands the importance of following through with someone’s advice, it’s you Aries. You know how to get things done and you’re always up for a challenge, but you’re also not afraid to admit that you sometimes need advice.
And if you can ever return the favor and help your friends out, of course you’re going to!
That said, NO ONE has the kind of stamina you do, so just because you’re able to take advice from someone and run with it doesn’t mean everyone else can, too.
And seeing as it’s you we’re talking about, your little nudges to remind your friends to get their sh*t together always just ends up sounding like nagging and not anything like encouragement.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leo, you’re bossy and you know it — and also kind of love it. But you also value your time, so you tend to tell people something once and only once — there’s really no nagging going on with you.
You’re also pretty aware of your authority over others, so even if you only ever say things once, people still tend to listen to you. And if they don’t? It’s either your way or the highway, so they can either shape up or get lost.
The only time your behavior could be considered naggy is if you’re being extra stubborn. This only happens when you feel like you know better than anyone how to get something done, so you’ll pester them until they wise up.
But this is a very rare occurrence as you only care about your own life; everyone else is fully capable of handling their lives respectively. And unless they ask for advice, you tend to stay out of the way.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius, you hate being called naggy simply because you hate being labeled as something you’re not. It sounds a bit pretentious, but you like to keep it real.
And you would hope that if you were headed dangerously close to nagging territory that someone would knock you out of it. If you absolutely feel like nagging is the only way to get through to someone, you might do it. Otherwise, you tend to stay away from it altogether.
As an Aquarius, you’re known for being very opinionated, but usually only when it really matters. And while you can insert yourself into a lot of situations just to share your opinion, it never really comes off as naggy. You might be assertive about sharing your opinions, but naggy? Nahhh, not your style.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarius, you tend to avoid being naggy like it’s the plague. The absolute worst thing for you is for someone to see a negative side of your or worse, hear from someone else that you’re a pain in the butt.
You love being loved by all and if being a nag ruins your credibility, you better believe you’re not going down that path. Of course, you also tend to tell people exactly what they want to hear, so what’s the real truth?
You want to be seen by everyone as an all-chill, no-care type of person, but you’ll also agree with whatever people say just to get on their good side. It seems to me that you’re not so much avoiding being naggy as you’re trying to make friends the only way you know how: by sucking up to them.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libra, you’re not really any better than Sagittarius on this one… Sorry, not sorry. You don’t nag because the sheer anxiety of someone not wanting anything to do with you afterwards is just far too much stress to handle.
You’re a textbook people pleaser, after all. You love the warm, tingly feeling you get inside when you can tell someone digs you, so why on earth would you threaten that by being naggy?
Granted, no one prefers to be disliked over liked, but you tend to cross a line almost every single time that you clearly don’t see. You can be popular, have tons of friends, and still be able to hold your own, Libra.
There’s no reason to sell yourself short because of what others might think of you. If something is important to you, say it! Don’t hide your true self because you may or may not be called a nag.
