Ever came across the quote: “friends make the world beautiful”? Even if you haven’t, we all know how much we value really good friendships — especially if you're one of these particular zodiac signs.
Ah, a friend who will do anything and everything to make sure that we are alive and well. A friend who will always be there for us wherever and whenever. Sounds beautiful, doesn’t it?
These characteristics are also a must when it comes to finding that potential someone who will love and protect you no matter what.
When it comes to relationships, feeling safe and protected by the other person adds layers to the relationship.
Especially when the protective demeanor comes naturally and without force. That constant feeling of safety makes it easier for people to open up and even fully be themselves.
What makes a good friend? We tend to gravitate towards people who push us to love ourselves more, who are constantly present, and who listen to us, whether we bring good or bad news.
While these are not the only qualities and characteristics that are sought out when building and maintaining friendships, they are highly favored.
We all want someone who is always looking out for us, someone who always has our best interest in mind.
And whether you are a fierce Leo or Scorpio ready to attack everyone and anyone who puts your friends in harm’s way, or a devoted Cancer who love their friends more than they love themselves, there are different levels to each sign’s protective nature.
While all zodiac signs have friendships in their nature, there are some that demonstrate more protective qualities than others. These horoscopes are usually the first to respond in a crisis and the last to leave their friend’s side no matter what.
Here are five different zodiac signs that have protection in their nature when it comes to their relationships, according to astrology.
LEO (July 23- August 22)
When it comes to Leos, their friends are their everything. Already kind and friendly in nature, a Leo is always encouraging their friends to reach their full potential.
Like its animal symbol the lion, Leos are fierce and very protective over what is theirs, ultimately making people feel safe. Because they are given this alpha title early on in their friendships, friends often confide in them, with hopes that they will give sound advice when it comes to situations they feel unsure of themselves.
While Leos are sued to being in charge and taking care of the people they love, that does not mean that Leos aren't fearful when going into scary situations. But their love and loyalty to their friends and family is so strong that they almost always overcome their fears.
TAURUS (April 20- May 20)
Although introverted when it comes to people they don’t know, Taurus are the complete opposite when it comes to their friends. In fact, they are devoted to the friendships they make and the people within those friendships. Regardless of time apart, a Taurus’ love for their friends never fades.
A Taurus loves security; they love the idea of everything in their life to remain positively constant, and that includes the people they surround themselves with. If they're friend's life is disrupted, then they feel that their life has been disrupted as well, causing them to do what they need to do to bring back harmony and balance. They will go to the ends of the earth to protect what's theirs.
With that comes with constantly checking up on friends, and doing anything it takes to protect them. While a Taurus behavior may come off to some signs as overbearing, a Taurus intentions to protect are always pure, and their friends can always feel safe when around them.
CANCER (June 21- July 22)
Carrying the characteristics of their mascot the Crab, cancers are very protective of their home and loved ones. They have the preconceived desire to protect all that is theirs in a way that comes off as very motherly.
A Cancer is known to be protective over anything of value to them. This includes friends and family, who in which they hold to a very high regard and constantly looks out and checks up on them.
While the Cancer’s personality may come off as overbearing, this often accepted or overlooked because the Cancer’s friendly and loving personality is so dominant. And while an initial encounter with a Cancer may lack enthusiasm, once they begin to open up, their loving and protective nature truly shows.
ARIES (March 21- April 19)
The Aries sign is very protective by nature. Their energetic personality attracts those around them to create establishing friendships. This is because of their good energy an Aries radiates into their settings.
They would risk anything and everything for the people that they love, and never expect anything in return. This attribute is usually what draws other signs to the Aries. People enjoy the idea of a person willing to do anything for them, and the Aries always deliver this expectation.
An Aries will fight for those that they love and in the instance that their family or friends are ever emotionally hurt, they have no problem confronting the attacker angrily. The Aries say and do mentality is what sets them apart from other signs, ultimately making their friends feel assured that they are protected.
SCORPIO (October 23- November 21)
Contrary to popular belief, Scorpios are very much needed in your friend group. When it comes to Scorpios, their loyalty, along with protective demeanor make them great friends. Their personality is fierce and will come out full force when it comes to anyone disrespecting them or their friends.
Scorpios are very in tune with their emotions and they feel everything very deeply. Which makes sense to why they go all in for a friend because their hurt becomes a Scorpios hurt. Their instinct to protect comes so naturally that they sometimes don’t even realize it until someone else points it out.
Scorpios can be hands down the most loyal ride or die friend. When in the presence of a Scorpio, you feel protected. Especially because a Scorpio always has their friends best interest in mind.
