There are certainly signs that are more inclined to take this route over others.
Maybe they don't like commitment, maybe they believe labels just put added pressure, or maybe they simply just want to be alone.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis are pros at not getting attached. They can spend a lot of time with a person and still not feel a need to be with them.
Geminis also tend to have commitment issues so if someone comes on too quickly or strongly a Gemini will friend zone that person asap.
The indecisiveness and flakiness of this sign also plays a huge role in making them the most prominent friend zoning zodiac. They don't want to be held down by anything.

Virgo (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos tend to have extremely high standards and can be very critical of others. If someone does not meet every requirement on their list they will surely be put in the friend zone. Virgo's are independent but also worriers.
If they feel like their control in life is going to be altered this will cause them to overthink and possibly talk themselves out of committing.
They like to do things on their own so having a partner or a significant other isn't as appealing to them.

Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius enjoy spending time alone so the thought of a commitment can be unpleasant to them. They also don't like to get too deep with emotions so if someone wants to go down that path they shut it down fast.
Aquarius are also not fans of sappy romances, and with the beginning of a relationship normally comes sappiness so they will shy away from that and go back to what they are comfortable with.
If they could they would keep the relationship at a surface level so they will friend zone a person if they try to alter that.

Leo (July 23 - August 22)
Leos are fiercely stubborn so they will absolutely friend zone if an aspect of the relationship is not up to their liking. They can tend to be a bit egotistical so finding someone can prove difficult if they do not feel as appreciated as they think they should be.
Leos are pros at seeing through bullshit as well so they will weed out all of the fakes and phonies by friend zoning if the situation calls for it.
Getting a second chance with a Leo is also not likely.

Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios like to always be dominant and in control so they will friend zone anyone who may be a threat to that. They can also tend to be private and they do not like to let their guard down or let anyone in.
As private as they are they are also very resourceful, so the thought of having to be alone does not scare them.
Scorpios can be a bit vindictive so if they feel you have wronged them in anyway they may be more inclined to hit you with the friend zone as well.

Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarius love their freedom so any threat to that will cause them to friend zone a person. If they feel like there is a chance that the relationship will alter their life in any big ways they will also retreat because they can tend to be inflexible.
If any part of life is an inconvenience you will see a Sagittarius walking the other way. Letting their guard down can also be an issue and the cause of the zoning in the first place with this zodiac.

Aries can go either way when it comes to friend zoning. Aries can have a bit of an ego and tend to get bored easily with a partner which could make commitment unattractive.
However, its not too difficult to change the mind of an Aries if some benefits to them from the relationship come to light. There's a chance they might overlook the friend zone if this happens. Once they change their minds they love and love hard.

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus are one of the most sensual signs on the zodiac spectrum. If they are not feeling a relationship they may tend to friend zone, but they are more likely to talk it out first.
They are loyal and stubborn, so if they have it in their minds when they first meet you that they want you, they will stick with that.
This mentality may have them overlook factors that cause other signs to friend zone people. Once you're in with a Taurus, you're in it for the long haul.
