Talking About Shakespeare On Your Profile Gets More Dates

Who knew!?

"To date or not to date?" is the eternal question of everyone in the dating world. This year marks the 400th anniversary of the great English playwright William Shakespeare. The guy had it down when it came to stories and sonnets about love, and the tragedy that sometimes comes with it.

In the great Shakespeare's words, "The course of true love never did run smooth."

And that still applies today. So to help users answer the eternal question above, Match.com went through its database and found that the great playwright can still help you discover love ... in online dating. Here's what Match found.

1. Mentioning Shakespeare gets you more responses.

Match found that women in their database are 30 percent overall literary. Thus, mentioning the playwright in your profile also increases men's chances of a response from women by 27 percent.
