Chuck Bass Seen Kissing Vanessa AGAIN!

Again Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr spotted getting frisky.

A lot of things happened at Madison Square Garden on Monday, February 2nd, some of them good. The Knicks reverted to their style of play from a year ago, Kobe Bryant scored the most points ever by a visiting player, Spike Lee grumbled and Ed Westwick was seen (spotted, we tell you) making kissy-face with Jessica Szohr per Celebuzz. Who is this woman with nary a vowel to her name? Jessica Szohr plays Vanessa "Other Side Of The Tracks" Abrams on television's Gossip Girl. Ed Westwick is, of course, Gossip Girl's lothario, svengali prince Chuck Bass.

This is not the first time that Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr have been spotted together. Back in December '08, the 2 were seen sharing personal space in a Texas airport (our guess is Hobby but it may have been Bush Intercontinental or DFW). Awooogah! The couple, to our knowledge, did not deny a rendezvous took place but most of us pushed it to the back of our minds as people from two totally different places could never, ever make it in an uptight, class-conscious world like ours. But, these uptown-outer borough relationships sometimes do work.

And we hope that it does work and work it real good. But it sort of feels like a spoiler or door-closing for future episodes. At one point, the Brooklyn-tastic Jessica had an angle on Chuck Bass's heart of cold and there was an inkling that something could, possibly happen there (though acquisition of her fancy was part of a wager by warm-and-cool ice queen Blair Waldorf). Ultimately, they were from worlds that were too different and Chuck Bass's reputation for loathsome activity preceded him. And if they become a real-life couple it sort of drains the viewer of a what-if fantasy and handcuffs the writers so that we haven't seen it all before. Whatever the case, we hope it works out for Jessica Szohr and Ed Westwick, they look like they're having fun.

This is not the first time that members of Gossip Girl's cast have gotten together. Penn Badgley (Dan Humphrey) and Blake Lively (Serena van der Woodsen) are on-and-off in reel life and hot-and-heavy in real life. (It's sort of funny that the actors' names sort of describe their characters' personalities, weird. It's like a Navy fighter pilot being played by a guy named Tom Cruise, weird.)

In summary, if you want to meet a nice, good-looking guy or girl, join the cast of Gossip Girl, they're giving them away for free. XOXO.
